Default Missing WP Code Driving Me Crazy - Help!

On my one website I have a WP blog that I use as kind of a news section. The rest of the website is not in WP, just the Blog. When you go the to Blog page it lists the last 10 posts like many do. My problem is when looking at the individual posts, after the title it says "Posted On (with the publish date)". If you look down through the individual posts, all have "Posted On" but only some of them have the date, in fact only every other one.

So I figured it must be using two different templates and alternate each time I make a new Post. I have looked through the theme files, looked at the source code and compared the two but I cannot find it for the life of me. I even stopped looking one day and came back to the next figuring I was just overlooking it but I cannot find the difference for anything.

If anyone has ever had this happen, or can look at the blog and let me know what I am missing it would great. While it really isn't that big of a deal, it looks funny to me and driving me crazy because I cant figure it out. I am sure it is something stupid and easy but maybe I am too! ha.

The page with the blog is http://www.livecasinousa.com/blog/ and I am using the SoSimple theme.

If anyone has a minute or knows how to fix please help me out and save my sanity!

    Thanks.

Now if you actually wanted that behavior it would probably be difficult to do.
If every other one has the date I think you just have to post exactly twice as much....LOL

Sorry, Have you tried making a minor change and then re-saving the post? Add or subtract a character maybe...

Or maybe edit the time slightly on a post and see if that does it.

I know there are plugins that control the behavior of post dates and whether they show etc, double check any plugins that might be affecting that in case there is a weird setting in there.

Thanks for the suggestion. If I go in and edit the date it appears then. Even if I just go in to edit it and not change anything and just hit "OK", leaving everything the same, all of the sudden it does appear. WTH?? I guess that is an easy enough work around but I wonder why it is doing that?

And here is something crazy. I went into a post do that again but instead of editing the date I just hit update to see if that would work and it fixed that post and every other post where the date was missing. Hopefully now when I post a new one the date will always be there - who knows tho......

It's still missing every second date from here.

Might not be related, but there is a stray <head> tag in the sidebar. Is there any code in there that might be causing this?

Thanks for pointing this out. Now I just need to find the page/file that is adding that....

What you mentioned happened to me recently.

Some links were broken after a WP update.

Visually nothing changed to the code. How to fix it was to simply copy paste the existing code into a text document.
Copy paste back the same code into the text area of WP and re-save/update that page again.

Not sure why the links broke between WP versions but I guess this happens.

Pulling the code, I can't see a stray head tag. If a stray tag is present, then it should produce an error highlight. But it's not. Stuff like this usually originates in your theme's functions.php file. Either that or one of your plugins.

Though, given that stray head tag was seen in 2016, maybe it was a plugin issue, and that's been fixed with an update.
