    Default MOZ Internal Links

Looking at the stats for my websites on Moz.com I noticed for what I consider my second best website, it shows 0 as the number of internal links. I actually noticed this a while back but thought it was a fluke or mistake and figured on the next update they would appear but they have not.

So for "total internal links" and "internal equity passing links", why would this show zero? Obviously I have all kinds of internal links but why wouldn't Moz pick these up?

    Thanks

Obviously in the eyes of moz your website is negligible and without any outstanding value. Then it can take up to 12 months to update your data in moz database. Try to get at least 15k visitors a month and your data will be updated on a weekly basis

I am not familiar with Moz. An other reason for not having internal links could be that you block their bot. Are you sure you don't block the bot in robots.txt or htaccess?

Is Moz a search engine? It looks like a software provider.

MOZ try to follow/mimic Google search engine when comes to metrics, links, site authority, etc. MOZ sometimes do not do their work very well and in some cases you cannot trust them. Like Alexa rankings and if your site is not in the first 100.000 sites, then Alexa metrics are out of the reality.

ahrefs and majestic are the only 2 that I use, besides GWT.

Thanks Gooner, I thought about mentioning also that those bots are very very often associated with ignoring standard and acceptable robots text exclusions.

One has to ask, why allow bots that refuse to follow your exclusions to spider and index every part of your website? Will they then be sending you traffic or do they wanna see your content for their own benefit?

Indeed - this is the key point - if you are running a bot that doesn't follow the rules then you are a bad netizen. You don't get to collate all my data for free, and sell it to other skimmers and scammers.

MOZ at least does offer a free service, but they run on a paid subscription model, and they're not paying me for the data they collect on my site.

The discussion was "internal links" - difficult to do that from other sites.

Using a bot that does not follow normal exclusions should not be done, no matter what the reason behind it is.

Well spam has limited effectiveness too, but I don't advocate using it either.

The problem with using what you think to be effective although goes against some acceptable forms of spidering is that you could easily get your ip and sometimes website banned places where it would hurt you.
