Default IN NEED OF ADVICE FROM OG's

Well One of My websites 0spiel.com to be precise is about 2 years old now. I do work on it constantly, lets just say 1-2h a day almost everyday. Obviously once i started I knew nothing about the industry nor Wordpress or website building. Basically My whole journey into affiliate marketing began 2years ago.....in The past 7 days according to search console I got 80 clicks and about 10,000 impressions. When I started i mainly focused on ranking specifically on the term No Rules Bonus. I did managed to climb to 5-10 position, which i think is not bad for a newbie and knowing the casino affiliate industry is not the same as it was 10 years ago in terms of competition. For the 1st 20 months all I did was created new content such as casino reviews and bonus posts. Now beginning of the summer I started going back to the old posts and improving them as some of them weren't that good and I know more now than i did back than. On Page speed insight site doing quite good. I only get 10 to 30 signups a month with almost no deposits. QUESTION FOR YOU.- Should I just keep doing what I'm doing and just need time and patience to break through to the level where i start making a little money. Should i start paying for backlinks/guest posts? Should I change my strategy? What would you recommend as i feel a bit stuck and there is no much progress nor degress . ALL ANSWERS AND SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME! Site should be in my signature place. Thanks

I work with an SEO and asked for feedback.

Some of the comments shared was more links will always help.

Focus on EEAT and that your content should have a dedicated author profile.

Content published is 1 or 2x / day and if it is not working, try focusing on 1 quality article per week and something perhaps less competitive. Or perhaps content that can generates shares and links in return.

I'd suggest you probably chose the wrong target subject from the outset.

    Why?

Well, consider (what appear to be) your current ranking pages. Some have a little traffic, going by ahrefs.

They're either related to your main subject (no rules bonus), or free chip/no deposit.

So the signups you've had, where do they come from?

If they come from your free chips/no deposit pages, there's your answer. The punter wanted free stuff, they're highly unlikely to deposit after they got it.

If they come from 'no rules' pages, it's a little more complex.

My view would be (and it's a generalization of course, I could be wrong) that (as a punter) I'd be pretty suspicious of an operator using this model. A very brief search of a couple you cover did suggest they're not rated highly by the usual casino tracking sites where you'd go to find out if an operator was safe.

Equally, I'd be thinking that an operator running this model was running a 'get them in at any cost' model, which (for anyone that has a little understanding of casinos) again doesn't inspire any confidence in 1. getting paid out if you're a punter and/or 2. getting tracked honestly and getting paid out if you're an affiliate.

If I'm right, then deposits are always going to be difficult to achieve. And even if successful, you may never see any returns.

You could argue that increased volumes would offset that to a point, but the terms you target don't seem to me to have the volumes that'll let you achieve that even with improved rankings.

Given you have some sort of success (rankings/impressions) you've clearly done some reasonable work with the site. To avoid canning it, I'd be thinking 'OK, so what can I do with what I've got to start targeting terms that might deliver some positive returns'. Easier said than done, but might be achievable.

Thanks for your input Appreciate it… Well I do agree that the term No Rules Bonus has no great volume on its on, however when you add specific casino in font of it is still ok and as you say it does require for people to deposit. As a small fish among the sharks I would never Rank for a term Casino Bonus. Thats why I chose the phrase and wanted to grow from that. Thanks for you advice once again!

Yeah, where I said " the terms you target don't seem to me to have the volumes", I should have been more precise and said " the terms you have rankings for (related to 'no rules') don't seem to me to have the volumes. I'd have thought that even if you get the odd depositor, then quotas will kick in (assuming the operators you promote have quotas).

Build up your authority in 'no rules' as much as you can, then try to go broader and find other terms (ofc not 'casino bonuses', but there will be others that are potentially achievable).

PS Impressions are a good/positive sign. Perhaps focus first on the searches you get impressions for and enhance your delivery on those.

You should be getting backlinks regardless of what anyone here says. There was a recent video of Bryan Dean, one of the credible SEOs with results, discussing his strategies for growing his second company and one of the things he said was all of this is pretty irrelevant if you are not building backlinks. If you can't get them organically, you know the drill.

Yes, I'm aware some people have managed to do stuff without them, obviously if 2 years have passed this is not the case here.

Bottom line is WHO ARE YOU? You need to have some sort of an online presence, cause at the moment the whole thing is written by an anonymous. You are in a YMYL field (your money or your life), you need credibility. There's a reason why you buy your expensive things from a reputable store, and not a street hustler.

I can't tell what your website is about, if I had to categorize it I'd say 'generic'. Has reviews of casinos, slots, bonuses, news, crypto casinos, in somewhat balanced ratio. I get the angle, but you'd probably have a much better success rate with a specific niche site.

I wasn't really aware of what 'No Rules Bonus' was but I could have guessed. The r1 site states

"No rules bonuses are one of the best ways to make money from online casinos. A no rules bonus codes simply means no wagering requirements or maximum cash out. "
By nature this term would attract mostly bonus hunters and people looking for ways to make money off online casinos, which won't be profitable for you and your partners. I mean there are sites that because successful with free spins codes and free bets, but that's up to you. If I have a final destination, I wouldn't want it to be a gamble and when I arrive there, to be hit or miss.

If you are not making any money, this is the time to experiment, as there's nothing to lose. Impression and clicks is all cool and stuff but that's about it. The 10 to 30 sign ups is a good number, but again clearly these are not players, but people wanting to get their hands on whatever money they can get from the bonuses and bail.

What does the domain itself mean? When I google the term it's some sort of a roulette system? I'm aware spiel is German for game/play. Why not some partial match domain or exact match domain with your targeted keywords? These might NOT provide the boost they once did, but they still offer value and give Google a way to pinpoint where the site is headed with the corresponding content.

If this was me, id migrate the domain to something better with at least one keyword in it, get away from freebies and find a specific niche that's interesting to PLAYERS who want to PLAY, not readers, bonus hunters and people looking for no deposit freebies. From there I'll start building content around that topic, show who I am, show some presence on social medias like LinkedIn, X etc, and then I can be patient. While it's a radical approach, that's what I'd do.

Obviously it's your business and your site, you can do whatever you feel appropriate.

I haven't dived deep into the answers already given above, but here are my thoughts on your original post.

I believe you might want to get "analytical" here, try answering these questions first:

    - What are the top KWs I am getting clicks on right now?
    - What are the top pages that are getting clicks?
    - Are my top KWs - potential depositor KWs? (as "No rules bonus" isn't exactly one)

    - What are the brands that you are getting sign ups on? (10-30 sign-ups / month can make money)

Based on your findings, you might want to try:

    - Directing players to a different brand - if most of your sign-ups are with 1-2 specific brands, you might want to try directing those players elsewhere. Some brands just don't convert well.

    - If you have an "even-ish" distribution of clicks / regs between brands / pages - this might indicate that the KWs you are targeting just don't bring FTDs. In this case you might want to explore new KW opportunities and this would mean creating new content and potentially and pushing it up the SERPS.

I think Chaumi and others hit on a lot of the important points.

I took a quick look at most of the "no rules bonus codes" you advertise, and most of them have rules such as max cashout, wager requirements, etc etc everything you stated they didn't have.

Agree that if many of the signups you are getting are coming from free chips it is logical to have lower value. If many are coming from the no rules bonus, how many are taking offers that actually have no rules and how many are seeing the no rules bonus has the rules you said they did not?

And as xecutable pointed out, bonus hunters are most often looking for bonuses they can use against the casino to "take advantage" which would also be of lower value.

Summarizing some great points here is focus on what the user would want. If you focus too much on bonuses you might get advantage type of players. Look at their websites in their profiles and see how they build content for players.

i really didn't read the whole post but i did ask chatgpt for you. here's what my customized chatgpt said, hope it helps!

Now, let's address the key question: What should be the next step? Considering your current metrics and efforts, I would suggest a multi-pronged approach.

Content Evaluation: Revisit your content to check its relevance and quality. It's not just about quantity but the value you offer to your visitors.

Keyword Strategy: Diversify your keywords. Focusing solely on "No Rules Bonus" may limit your reach. Use tools like Google Keyword Planner to explore more options.

Backlinks: While paying for backlinks can be tempting, organic backlinks often hold more value. However, high-quality guest posts on reputable sites can be beneficial.

User Engagement: With 10,000 impressions but only 80 clicks, it suggests that users are not finding your content compelling enough to engage. Look into improving your meta descriptions and titles.

Conversion Optimization: The fact that you have sign-ups but almost no deposits indicates a bottleneck in your conversion funnel. Identify where users drop off and optimize that stage.

Page Speed: Keep monitoring this. A faster site usually leads to better user engagement.

A/B Testing: Run A/B tests to see what changes may improve clicks and conversions.

Consult the Community: Sometimes, the best advice comes from those who have been in your shoes. Online forums and social media groups can be great for this.

Monitor and Adjust: Keep an eye on your analytics. Make data-driven decisions.
