I saw a comment by admin from Wager junction that they are not permitted to allow access US IP addresses sooooooooooooooo therefore do I assume I cannot use my US IP address web site for a gambling site?

I'm really new to this but have always wanted to start one. I have been booking sports pools with affiliates and just want to expand

Most casinos / affiliate programs that don't accept American players will still accept affiliates from within the US. It's not necessary to use a proxy or whatever to join the programs.

So what Wager Junction was saying was that I can operate from the US I just can't take US bets? Is that wise for me being a US citizen. I have been booking private sports pools for years with no problem but this would definately put me above the radar

I'm not aware of a single affiliate in the US ever being prosecuted for operating an affiliate portal.

As far as booking private sports pools..... only a lawyer can advise you on the legalities of that. I don't think I'd advertise it on my portal though.

I think that they will certainly allow your site being hosted in the US, but the traffic from within the US will not be allowed. You could still have Uk players click on your site (hosted in the US) that will be directed via your affiliate link and still get credit.

They are imposing restrictions on the traffic, not your affiliate site.

Not prosecuted, but warnings... if I remember correctly, it's a class C felony to be a gambling affiliate in Washington.

If you are in the US, and YOU are PERSONALLY collecting money from players, or handling their wagers, you seriously need to have a talk with a lawyer......

That puts you in the realm of an operator not an affiliate.

The reason I am switching to an affiliate progam is because I did have a talk with a lawyer. :>))
