Need some joomla help

Hi guys. I'm hoping someone can lend me a hand. I am using joomla right now and since the switch over from dream weaver I am unsure how to hide my affiliate links which is very important. I have gone through many extensions on the joomla site but none seem to do the redirect the way I would like.

If anybody has a joomla extension or can point me to one I would appreciate it

Joomla has a built in feature called web links. You can find it in the back end by going to Components -> Web Links

Then whilst writing an article (or whatever) just highlight the text and click the link icon, select "Web Links" and you'll find your links.

Thank you and I see the web links and I have tried what you said. However I did a test and set up a link for vegas regal and when I highlight it in the article I dont see a "web links " option in the article.

It's an icon that looks like a chain with a small green +, should be on the bottom row to the left of the spell check.

What text editor are you using? If it's not there you might not be using one - check under global configuration -> site there should be an option for WYSIWYG editor.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am using joomla 1.5 with joomlaCK as my WYSIWG editor. maybe thats why I dont see the button. Do you have the basic editor?

Oh I changed the editor to the original and I do see the web link button now. Thank you very much
