Default Need your advice. Please read.

    Hello.

I am glad to be a member of GPWA network.

A week ago I started to do a gambling webmaster job.
    I create a website:
    http://www.forcasinofun.com

    Please help me.
I made a catalog of links at http://catalog.forcasinofun.com
They I tried everyday, 5 hours per day to add links.
Not just links, I tried to get backlinks from sites wich PR is greater than 0.

Now I have only 2 sites that listed my site in their links.

I am tired of getting nothing while doing big job..
I knew that GPWA will help me.

I have send more than 20 emails to other webmasters to add my link
but I got nothing. I knew that backlinks this is wright way to increment PR.

Please get your advice. I need it very much.
    Thank you.

    Hi Rollerboy,

Its allways tough to get links when you are just starting out, stick with and they will come eventually.

I used a couple of automated services to initally build up links and get some PR, then as long as your site is respectable and has something valuable to offer you will get more links easily from other webmasters.

I have used both linkmarket.net and linkexchanged.com and whilst both have some disadvantages they did alot to build my sites up in the early days.

You should also be a little careful with using subdomains for link exchanges as you may find that you gain lots of PR on catalog.forcasinofun.com but very little on main web pages. I believe google still treats subdomains as seperate domains alltogether.

Also, if you are trying to get links back to your main page by offering links on your link directory page, this could deter people as it is effectively a 3 way link exchange, which make it difficult for webmaster to track the links.

I hope this helps a little.

Dont use these two sites "linkmarket.net and linkexchanged.com"

Honest do yourself a favour. If you want people to link to you it can be hard especially if the site is new. I am finding the same thing right now with messages going unanswered etc...and you know what i am not out for the PR, just linking to good sites like I should be doing.

Anyway first it could be how you are requesting a link. For starters if you do not know the webmaster and are sending an informal request odds are it will be deleted without second thought. Myself I got tired o fthe
Dear webmaster....I have a good site I want you to link to me first......Linking is good for both of us....linking is good for PR
That right there is a turnoff. I remeber one email I sent out and I think it was to a member here. Anyway i went and searched the name of the webmaster using whois so I could adress them by thier name and not webmaster. I than told them why I like there site and that I linked to it and where. If they could find my site usefull I have left a link but its not necessary to add it if they dont want to . There's will still remain either way.

I had a better response than ever before because I took the time to make it personal....here is where I got this idea from and is an awesome article when it comes to linking...

    Honestly,

Those who do a whois on my sites and then write emails to me telling me how much they like my site....bla bla bla...is somewhat of a turnoff itself at times....

....ESPECIALLY if you know I am a member here....

I take more care and respond quicker to pms from here, or to emails to my casino related email accounts from those that approach me here than anywhere else on the net.

The email address I use on my whois is there for Internic and domain related inquiries....and I actually get a bit peeved by those who use it to troll for link partners....

I never use the email from who is...ever. I am referring to sites that you know dont belong to a forum. For example say I come across one that just rocks but I dont know who it belongs to. I will use the whois and find there name if I can. alot of times affiliates own a huge amount of sites and never really tell anyone so you dont always know who owns what

    Hey Rollerboy,
You've only started 2 weeks ago, so don't be so frustrated. I was going for many, many months before I saw any profit whatsoever. Usually takes 8-12 months for someone on my level (I'm low level SEO type).. You may go faster, but be patient.

I'll trade links with you. PM me your details and I'll place them in a contextual location on one of my websites.

    Cheers!

I spent 6 months exchanging links to get PR2, and another 9 months to get PR4, totally 15 months(and now understand that it was my mistake)! It's not an easy business. If you work hardly good results will be!
And I again repeat that PR is not so important that to spend 5 hours a day for exchanging links, I think 2 hours will be enough, but spend another 3 hours by writing unique content.

    Hey Rollerboy,

It can be very difficult to get links, but it's a necessary part of the job. When I set up a couple of my sites I used work through the Gambling section of LinkPartners.com, you may have some luck there.

    Regards,

    Hi all,

    I know nothing about SEO.

I have partners who are very good at it.

one has turned an old site into ranking pretty damn good at some good keywords.

I have no idea how it was done other than this partner mentioned .... a backlink of quality was added.

what the hell is a backlink?

lol. only been around 7 yrs. .....
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

Backlinks this is a links to your site from other sites, usually with PR more than 0.
This is like in real life - more peoples know you - more is your rating

Back links is needed for up PR (pagerank). More PR - more top positions at major search engines - more traffic.

I don't agree, if your site don't have a high quality content your high PR won't help you. I saw gambling sites with high PR (PR5 and even PR6) and even I talked to some of these sites' webmasters, they told me they didn't have a lot of players(they didn't have good traffic), and they couldn't believe that I earned money only from players and I didn't sell links.

    20 emails?
It is normal to get 2 links from 20 emails.
Send 1000 emails (type 'gambling' in google and you will find sites for exchange) and you will get ~100 back links.
It`s hard, but if you what to get backlinks you must work hard
But rememmber - do not send mass mails (like spam). Each email must be personal to get any good effect.
