Neteller does it again

If you're following my threads you may have noticed I had all sorts of problems with Skrill and Neteller cards, such as being stranded in Paris without cash or my card being blocked for security reasons after I paid for a TGV train ticket. Not to mention the limits and other stuff.

Well, be warned, if you use the fantastic feature of funding your Neteller account with Bitcoin for a mere 1% fee, your Net+ card will be instantly blocked - regardless of how much other money you got in your account - and it will remain blocked until you clear your account to 0. At that point the card will unblock.

If you got €5000 and fund your account with €100 in Bitcoin, you can't access any money with your Net+ card.

No matter how many times you do this, the card will be instantly blocked every time. Kind of defeating the whole purpose of funding your Neteller account with Bitcoin. So you'll have to deposit all your money to some bookmaker or casino and then withdraw it back to Neteller to unblock the Net+ card.

This time I, the unsuspecting traveler, was in Slovenia when Neteller denied me access to my cash. So Neteller and Skrill keep finding new countries to f*ck me in.

Someone recently said to me - I'll give you €100 for every successful sports person you can name that doesn't train. Of course it was a stupid question, but i immediately thought a safer bet would be to ask - Tell me one person who is happy with how skrill/neteller treat customers?

I've never understood the business philosophy of Skrill, it's has though they want to jeopardise their own business. In an ideal world they would be my perfect payment partner, but i refused to use them since 2014. From what i understand they are going from bad to worse, and things are not about to improve.

Dan - We have a saying in England, once bit twice shy. Following your Paris experience it would probably be wise top look for a new solution!

Well that depends on a umber of factors doesn't it. The structure of your business (legal/not). Your legal residency (country). Source of income. What banking/payment options you need etc etc. I mean, if you have a 100% legitimate business then their are hundreds of card providers, whether pre-paid, debit or credit. If you are in the EU their are many new banks with attractive services etc - everyone has a different set of circumstances.

Looks like nothing changed with neteller/skrill even though they belong to paysafe group nowadays...

Most affiliate programs pay via Neteller or Skrill, and therein lies the root of my problem as my money is stuck there.

The closest I got to solving this is buying Bitcoins with Neteller/Skrill at Spectrocoin with a 5% fee, and using the Spectrocoin debit card which has €2000 daily ATM withdrawal limit with a flat €2.25 fee (Neteller charges 1.75% so the fee per €2000 is €35). Spectrocoin started accepting Neteller and Skrill deposits this month.

And I think I'll do just that after the Bitcoin fork is over.

Like i say i have no idea of how you are set up - but if you can repatriate monies to a bank account the door opens for debit/credit cards.

Get a bitcoin debit card for Bitcoin payouts. No need to mix BTC with Neteller. If you want to get rid of BTC over the forking time, just exchange them to fiat without withdrawal and then back.

Idk this either, but it seems that Dan must be happy to keep money off the official banks. After all tax avoidance is the main reason why so horrible service as Neteller and Skrill are still being used by affiliates. I am right now going on trip through former Yugoslavia and they seem to take the taxing things bit over the top.

Spectocoin does it reveal the banking data in the CRS framework

any idea about this? because need to be checked for neteller and skrill deposits

Spectrocoin have to verify your identity but they don't share information about your account with the authorities.

In any case, key is getting money out of Neteller and Skrill, the two lovely services incompatible with everything else.

Ok so the cost of transfering the money to Ecopayz and then withdrawing cash would be 1.69% to 2.90% for the deposit, and 2.00% for cash withdrawal. That's between 3.69% and 4.90%. Max ATM withdrawal €500, allowed 3 per day for a daily limit of €1500. Cost of withdrawing each €1000 is between €36.90 and €49.00. Leaving money on card and using it at POS is very cheap.

Spectrocoin accepts direct Skrill and Neteller deposits with a 5% fee (max €1000 daily load). But the ATM fee is fixed at €2.25. Max single ATM withdrawal €1000, 5 allowed per day, daily ATM withdrawal limit €2000. The cost of withdrawing each €1000 is €52.50.

I think I'll use a combination of both. Ecopayz for POS and Spectrocoin for ATM and for buying BTC.

For comparison, Net+ daily ATM limit is €900 with a 1.75% fee.

BitPanda also accept Neteller and Skrill, but I haven't used them yet, think I got annoyed by the verification process. Fees are hidden and are included in the BTC buy price. No card, would have to send BTC to Spectrocoin.

I do not see any deposit option to neteller or skrill to ecopayz. How do you transfer from one to the other?

I answer myself => with mastercard?

That's crap.

Personally, I don't have too much experience with them. I just use it to make some payments to content writers that have no bank account within Europe. I must say that's already hassle enough with Neteller and Skrill. I won't take the bet to travel somewhere and depend on them if I can cash out or not...

Can someone from a non-EU (and non-SEPA) country use Skrill/Neteller to deposit money to Spectrocoin?

As far as I know this isn't possible with BitPanda.

An option could be to deposit money into a bookmaker that has a direct debit card?

Here in Aus most of the bookies give you a ATM card to spend your winnings with. It's not unheard of having your commissions paid into that account, or depositing money into that bookie and using their debit card.
