Never knew Michael was an MIT grad
...and that too in Mathematics.
Wondering if he ever tried to win big at a casino using his math skills.

I think that his math skills were good enough to understand probability, the structure of casino games and facing a making losing bets all the time the unlikelihood of beating the "tyranny of large numbers".
If you eliminate card counting then there isn't a +EV bet available in the casino.

This statement is factually incorrect, smattering, because in real casinos dice control*, biased roulette wheels**, techniques, based on physics to predict a 9 number area of the wheel, where the ball will land with more probability*** and some Video Poker machines**** gives the player a proven mathematically advantage in the long run.
*Dominic LoRiggio
**Some people from Austria made millions with it.
***Dozens of professionals used this technique for decades in Europe, still possible in some casinos today if you will not get backroomed.
****Hard to find, but they still exist.
