New affiliate site - Rev Share in Red

Hello,

I started a betting affiliate site for Australian sports and horse racing gamblers.

I have a good marketing plan in place and have had a good number of signups, however the signups are betting profitably!
My balance on half of the affiliates I am promoting are showing significant losses in revenue (my commission are zero).

For one affiliate I got 15 signups and the revenue was at a loss of over $2500 over one week.
On another betting company I was promoting there are 3 signups, on one day one of the punters bet over 100 times and won $300.
I know that betting companies win 5 - 10% of turnover on average, but is it normal to have such losses in the beginning as an affiliate? Do I need a breaking even point number of signups? Have I been unlucky and signed up a pro on half of the sites I am promoting?
I am a little worried, any advice?

Most likely it is far too soon to judge the results you are getting. Players can and do win, and winning players are more likely to become loyal players. Loyal players return more frequently and bet more often.

As your player base increases, more players will earn you revenue.

Give it more time, obviously monitor the situation in case any specific bookie stays unprofitable over the long term, but time and continued signups of depositing players will work in your favor.

I understand betting companies will restrict the most successful gamblers as well, so hopefully that tips the scales in my favour.

There will always be ups and downs with commissions. That's why it's best to check your commissions late on in the month that way you won't be disappointed with what could have been!

One of our newer listings (SlotsMillion) has had over 40 sign-ups this month, but is well in the red. Going forward, as Rick says, loyal players will make all the difference in months to come.
