    Default New Google Feature?

    Hello All,

I was looking at my listing for my retail site in Google just now and it has the title, the snippet but under the snippet are links to 3 additional pages and then the url for the page listed.

Are the 3 additional links something new? I've never seen it before. Does it have something to do with being logged in to my Google account?

    thanks

Are you talking about the sitel;inks feature in the results pages?

Could you give us an example?

I can't post the actual but here is how it appears.

Normally the Google results displays the page title, the snippet and the url to the site:

    Fun Slots Games (title)
play these fun slot game (snippet from page or desc tag)
    xhttp://www.mysite.com/fun-slot-games.html (url)

but now Google is displaying it like this:

    Fun Slots Games (title)
play these fun slot game (snippet from page or desc tag)
Microgaming Slots - Rival Slots - Slot Tips (links to additional pages now)
    xhttp://www.mysite.com/fun-slot-games.html

Yes, that is similar to the site links that they were doing....

I have heard that this will become more common among sites and it gives a better advantage to get traffic to deeper pages or pages that may be of more interest to the searcher.

I think it's like posting the similar pages in your website especially if the keyword doesn't have any conflict with your other web page keyword targeting.

I call them "mini site links", but I don't know if that's what anyone else calls them or not. The extra links are pretty awesome though; I can't imagine that they don't drive up clickthrough rates.

It has been spoken about by Google for months now and what a good idea it is. Previously only certain, much respected sites were having other deep sites shown. Now with the 1 line system, more webmasters and even better, more visitors will have quicker access to specific areas of your site directly from the search results. I look forward to analysing results on this one.

So it leads to the basic question: What factors does Google consider in deciding which sites get these additional links? I'd love to hear about any evidence/testing on this. I don't know whether these single line deep links are based on the same factors as the versions of many additional/deeper links, but I would also definately be interested to know what factors are considered in granting the "many links" version of this as well.
