Hey everyone, happy to join this community.

Like the title says, I'm not a new hand at this but I could always use some tips.

I'm working on US geo specifically - focusing on sweepstakes at the moment.

The market seems super competitive and the US is a pretty hard market to crack - I get the feeling the audience aren't even sure what they want or are looking for?

Any tips, thoughts, experiences would be appreciated.

Yes, the US market is definitely competitive, but there are good reasons for that; the potential earnings are usually higher compared to other geos. Regarding your point about the audience not being sure what they want, that’s true sometimes. People want to play but aren’t always clear on what or where, that’s where your role as an affiliate comes in: to present them with an attractive enough option to move them from that more contemplative stage into action. For me, it’s a bit like someone feeling hungry but not having decided on a specific dish yet, you show up with something appetizing enough to make them choose right away and satisfy that need without having to look elsewhere. Also, keep in mind that some people go straight to the point, so it’s important that your affiliate links are easy to access (not hidden away or delayed for too long).

How long have you been in the industry? What’s your background? I think that would help make more relevant suggestions. In any case, you’ll find plenty of useful information to read here on the forum.

Actually i dont know why you guys gave him some answer.
But no worries, we will never know whats happend to him and/or its venture/site ...

As always, a quite "pro looking" website.
Some nonsesne questions (if someone who runs such a site need to ask if his strategy is proper).

I've been around for a couple of years. Had a stint as an editor for some affiliates focusing on UK and Irish markets and I do find the US market to be quite hectic as a comparison. One of the sites I was working on last year got utterly eviscerated by the google core update (could have also been burned by the previous owner's shoddy linkbuilding). The sweepstakes are in some trouble from a regulatory standpoint but I think they're still worth it.

And yeah, been reading the forums, getting my bearings, some good info and hope to make some contacts.
