Default New Site: ProtoLiga - reviews appreciated

Hey folks, been a while I've been on the scene and finally back with a new site that's for tracking major leagues and tournaments, with a bit of market movement tracking, AI-powered data driven prediction, and in-running odds updates

    ProtoLiga.com

Reviews and feedback are much appreciated Thank you!

    Hi!

I tried accessing your site, but it seems like your SSL certificate is invalid, you might want to look into and fix that.

I was able to access your website okay without any SSL issues and I like the format and layout of your site. It looks neat and it's pretty cool how you have the option to choose between dark and light mode themes, by clicking on that sun and moon icon located in the far right hand upper corner of your homepage. Good job.

    Looks good, congrats!

    I spotted some UX issues:

    - for example, after I load a league on desktop, let's say I scroll down the page, click for a match and what I see is that nothing happens, because the match data is loaded at the top. After a few tries I might abandon the site. Or, if I discover that you load the content of the match on the right side at the top, it would still be uncomfortable to scroll back up every time.

    - same for mobile: I click on the match. Where's the data? Oh, it's at the bottom. Not a good UX in my view

    Some UI issues:

the spacing of "Overview-Statistics-Lineups..." is not good on desktop or mobile.

There's no menu on the mobile page! Add a floating expandable menu (more app style) or a sticky bottom menu (or top menu). But add a menu.

    Loading speed is good.

    PROS :
    It looks tidy.
The data is interesting, having both estimations and odds, and an attempted bet with "confidence".
All my inverstiagtion was done on desktop version. UX and displays seemed good.

    CONS :
When you offer a recommendation outside W-D-W you do not offer the appropriate odds - eg. Over 1.5 goals still shows WDW.
The estimating and confidence numbers appear naive at best.

    WIN ESTIMATES :
The AI estimates for W-D-W are fairly generic at best and very sloppy at worst. I cannot work out whether you are basing it on form, bookmaker odds, or something more proprietary but I'd say most estimates are +/-10% for wins and +/- 5% for draws - basically little more than a child would do by looking at the league table. How are you directing the AI to do this ?

    Example :
Bayern Munich v Cologne over 1.5 goals is estimated at 68% / 32% .. which I think means 68% to hit?
Bayern Munich are scoring 3.5 goals per game themselves ... the bookmakers are offering 1.03 for Over 1.5 goals .. suggesting a 95% likelihood ???

    ODDS CALCULATIONS :
And even when you get the win estimates accuarate there is no reference or thought to implied value or EV.

    Example :
Leverkusen estimated 74% to win vs Hamburg - my own sheet has them at 73% - so I am impressed with that pick.
But the price offered is just 1.25 at the bookies ... where as fair value would be about 1.33 to 1.35
So the bet is -EV and taken long term if betting at 1.25 you'd lose money on it.

    OVERALL :
It looks pretty. It has some promise. But that's the candy floss covering on top.

It feels like an "AI" bandwagon - with little real thought to actually finding good bets.
As a tool - it's just going to encourage bad value betting with inaccurate data and recommendations on poor bets.

    ---------------------

    EDIT :
I read it back after posting and it sounded too harsh.

The work you've done on display and presentation is very good. I could use the UX immediately.
It's "just" the data and bet recommendations that are dubious - but for someone like me - THAT IS THE MAIN THING.

At the moment, Europe. Might be working to promote a brand in Cyprus/Greece, which was why I added the two leagues, not confirmed though. Will not be adding any other sports, for now at least.

Not harsh at all mate, I appreciate the input!
Will be working on the value. At the moment, this is the first version. Will have to work on it more

More feedback is appreciated! I will make some adjustment to the Recommended Bet section as it skewed more towards value rather than potential win. Currently away but will do the adjustment next week.

What else am I missing to make the site/service more valuable to visitors?

Looks clean, nice readable layout. One small thing from a quick look. The "updated 11 minutes ago" feels a bit slow if in-running odds are the headline feature, for live betting people expect near real-time. Might be worth surfacing how often it refreshes during a match. Otherwise solid start.

The top Live status is more of a site wide data update. For the in-running page, there's a separate status shown, which is every few seconds. I'll see how to make it clearer
