The site looks very nice. I would suggest for you to add a ‘home’ tab on the top menu; it would make easier for your visitors to go back to the home page.

I think it's a nice looking site.

And congrats on having such large images load so fast, but at 1280x800 resolution the visitor can not read any of the content or headlines that would help draw them into reading further.

Since the site was fast and the template did in fact appeal to me I wanted to see more, so the above might be a moot point....

Thanks for the feedback Rick. My images are small because the site is of responsive design so it reconfigures for tablets and mobile phone screens. I would love to have the images bigger so the detail was clear but they would be too big for the mobile phone screen size. I hope they just give enough detail for the visitor to want to explore further.

okay so here is my initial feedback. Balls and boxes - Good name?? Well what the heck is balls and boxes? Its throwing me off way off.

Second your site is a wordpress blog not a website. I dont want to scroll through posts. You want to build a brand not a churn and burn site so the name is good in that sense but I am still lost as an average visitor who scrolls across and sees the url.

Urls open up in new windows thats good.

Finally you need a home button.

Thank you for your feedback. I have taken on board everything that you have said. Home link now in top nav (was hiding in footer!) Name made more meaningful. Site reorganised a bit to look more like a site than a blog. I am working on the top level pages that are linked from the main nav now to make the content more meaningful.

Just a bit of background so you know my thinking behind the way I built this site and what I am trying to do. I have an old site www.winmoneyonline.co.uk that has served me very well for a few years. It was hit by two Google penalties, Penguin last April, then the Exact Match Domain update towards the end of last year. Ballsandboxes.com is a SEO experiment with a brand name and lots of unique content, which is starting to look very good in the SERPs. I will now work on making the site more user friendly, but essentially I am looking for visitors to land directly on a post for their search term and perform a call to action without moving any further i.e. playing that particular game.

I also wanted to use a template that had responsive design so it is usable on pc and mobile devices.

I will take what I learn from this site and apply it to others in the future, which are more likely to be .php site with blog installed.

I like the Lizzy, congrats on a great job.

I would maybe change around the Contact Us and the Home features on the top menu. Why? Well because if your traffic is searching for a way to contact you they will probably look for it where the Home option is and if they are looking to go to the homepage they will probably look around where the Contact Us option is. Its not a big deal but I just thought I would add that.

Other than that, looks like it has some good content and some good options for people looking to play those types of games. Best of luck to you and your site!

Anyway, I have managed it now I moved the contact us to the bottom menu as I would like to add a couple more pages to the top nav, so need the room.
