    Default Newbie!

    Hi all!

I'm totally new to GPWA as a member, but have been a lurker for a little while.

I joined because I finally bought a poker, casino, bingo and binary options related domains yesterday.

I've only joined recently because I must admit, I do have doubts that money can be made in any of the areas above.

So, I guess before I put my heart, soul, blood sweat and tears in to building these websites, is there money to be made still?

Thank you and I look forward to becoming an established member

    Hey Lee, welcome aboard!

If you put the effort in and stick with it, there's still money to be made. I would suggest starting out with a smaller niche site - this will rank and produce a return much faster than a generic site (mainly due to less competition).
onlinegamblingwebsites.com - Formally known as goodbonusguide.

Gambling Domains: Small clear out of some of the domains we've been hoarding on Dan - see the list here. Prices negotiable, and willing to swap for decent links.

    Thanks for the reply's guys.

@baldidiot - I was thinking that, but if I'm going to do this, I may as well go all in! Lucky enough I have a job at the moment, so I'm not in any rush for any immediate income, although that would be fab lol. I have a little time on my hands I guess.

    @thebookiesoffers - I hope you're wrong lol.

It's very competitive out there but with the right approach and something unique to offer, there is still money to be made. My advice would be that the bigger operations are usually slow to respond to changes in the market, giving smaller affiliates a chance to stake their claim to new niches.

Good luck with your site and keep us updated with how things progress.

Baldidiot - Luckily I have a job so I don't need to earn quick money right now, so I thought if I am going to do this, I may as well go all in!

Thebookiesoffers - I hope you're wrong and I can still do something!

    Thanks, AceOdds.

Hopefully will have a site up and running in the not to distant future

Welcome to the forum Lee, I'm sure you'll find GPWA to be very useful. There are some really smart and helpful members to help you along the way with questions that you might have.

Baldidiot has a great point though, you can still give your all but directed to a smaller niche. This way you'll have a head start on the niche you choose. Best of luck to you Lee!

    Welcome Lee,

I have not even been doing this for an entire year, and I make plenty of money. In fact, now I am simply re-investing 90%+ of it back into my business. There is plenty to be made, and many affiliates make more than 10K per month. That is the figure I see a lot people trying to get too. Only a small percentage break away from the small numbers (under 1k a month), but the difference I see in who lasts is the commitment level.

There really is no "passive" income in this industry like the stories I hear from 10 years ago. Every sign up, deposit, and new player is due to hard work and diligent efforts. From the sound of it you seem to have the right attitude, but looking back, I worked 90 hours weeks building casinobonusandfreechip.com...

So to answer your question, for most people I would say you are better off investing in something that pays you directly and immediately. For the sake for your loved ones, family, health, etc. But for crazies like me (and maybe you), making a couple hundred g's by out smarting and out writing others is way too much fun to pass up. Your passion level for this will be a direct indicator of your success level.

On the other hand, I may have the wrong picture all-together as I learned everything I know about webdesign, marketing, slaving to a search engine all by watching others on forums like this. Maybe if I knew a little about building sites back then I could have done even better. Maybe my intensity is the only avenue of my successes, and this is all completely unrelated but...

igaming is the best and good luck!

Muffincrumbs. First of all I need to say what an awesome username.

Thank you for the detail you have provided. This is exactly what I wanted to know and hear.

I am incredibly competitive, so the thought of being in the igaming industry gets me excited, so that will draw out my passion and intensity. Not to mention that "buzz" you get when you oust one of your competitors, so yes. Include me in the crazy category.

My downfall perhaps will be my perfectionist tendencies. Getting the websites right before the sites go live and keeping everything in order.

Anyways, I won't rattle on. Thank you, Muffincrumbs.

    Lee

Welcome to the fourm! My advice is find out which niche you are most passionate about and like the most. Focus on that, it makes things a lot easier and fun when you love what you are doing.

I think you could do well in any of the markets you mentioned but as a newcomer to the industry you'll need to try and offer something different from the rest for your site to stand out from the crowd.
