    Default Paddy Power Negative Carry

Just a warning regarding Paddy Power - they do invoke negative carry and have done so on my account. There is a thread regarding Paddy and this but for some reason I can't seem to reply in that (maybe as it's too old). In that Luke (from Paddy) claims that they can fairly call themselves a no negative carry affiliate but this is nonsense.

People at Paddy are making untrue claims about the account (that there are large swings in the revenue) and have ignored my emails when I have questioned this. There wasn't a great deal of activity on the account but that has increased a little in the last 3 months and still they won't budge.

Our account is fully above board, we promote them on a number of websites and as far as I know nobody I know, let alone me or business partner, has signed up. The key issue for me is that Luke claims they only invoke negative carry to combat fraud and this is totally not true.

Just a warning and a request that they perhaps change their claims that they are no neg.

Have found on the other thread:
"Paddy - would not give you share rev on all products, just on sports. Some of the people above are old time affiliates, therefore their commission deals differ."
It seems that the time when you are registered at Paddy matters. I was considering to become affiliate of them. However, now I'm confused after your post.

I can only say from my experience we have found them very low converting and not overly helpful, whilst the negative carry - especially because they claim not to use it - is a major, major negative.

They are low converting mainly because they only use a session cookie. If they player closes the browser window/tab at any stage since clicking from your site, then you lose the tracking of that player. He can re-open the tab and sign up to Paddy Power untagged to you.

Most other books use a 30 day or sometimes a 15 day cookie - both of which seem pretty fair.

When I contacted Luke about neg carryover they changed mine to no negative carryover. In my case, the negative carryover had been invoked as it was an old account when I first became a fledgling affiliate and didn't send them anything for a long time. When I asked, it was taken off, so I can't argue with that, but it does worry me hearing other people having it put back onto their account, which I think is what you're saying has happened?

I do not undertsand it either. My account seems to be collecting and adding the negative balances, but tey pay me like if they defacto reset it.

I see even more rows with minus numbers there but yet they pay me out.

I think everyone knows my opinion about PaddyPartners. Luke and Patrick are the only nice guys there, and I talked to many of them.

    - Their conversion is bad, even considering the site is not friendly to people from the markets I promote.
    - Their commission % is bad, one of the worst in this business and on top of that, they have negative carryover
    - Their payments are always late, they never pay before the 20th and usually it's after 25th (for example this month there's no sign of the money yet).
    - Their support team is one of the worst I've ever seen, and I have no words to describe the payments team who took 3 months and 20 emails to resolve a "missing" payment issue.

I think that's all. Once again, Luke and Patrick are nice guys, they are just working in the wrong company. (i.m.o.)

    Exclamation

Session cookies are the reason why they are poor converting plus their distribution platform.

The stats are something like for every 1 conversion you could have had another 8 from a 30 days cookie, I used my own research and testing. I tested programs when they were on different networks where they varied their cookies.

So they are getting your players your just not getting paid, unless they sign up there and then. Not many people commit straight away.

Secondly, this is something which not many have people have discussed: they distribute their ads via doubleclick. Doubleclick is blocked by many adblockers and many browser block it with plugins easily.

It confused me as I couldnt see any ads when I tried to get them for my sites and was wondering why lol
