NOT Bodog India

Hey, got a message from a guy names Derick Abraham - AM at bodogindia.com
He was asking for Indian Live Dealer traffic.

It's a scam. A suspicious looking site with a Bodog logo and stolen graphics from Winner.com (which is changed now). I've added the guy via Skype and asked him if it´s a legit Bodog brand. He told me:

Yes. This is Bodog's entry into Indian market. bodogindia.com is being managed separately for now to the other Bodog Brands. Kindly register on our site.

In same time i've asked my Bestpartners AM about the site:

This is not a Bodog brand. After investigation, that's a scam, we have never seen this India Bodog before.

then they are legit. Part of bp group. Just it is done by other people and not the core team. The site was forwarded to me by my legit bp manager LOL.

Their website does not look trustworthy: there is no login button for example. They (original bp team) had to forward me login page that is nowhere to be found: https://affiliate.bodogindia.com/

Meanwhile I lost password and there is no way how to recover it.

This is not a Bodog brand. After investigation, that's a scam, we have never seen this India Bodog before.

Something is amiss. Sherlock's AM confirms it's legit, while enzoo's AM has no idea.

I've a feeling not many people at BP are in the loop. Possibly testing this out with the larger affiliates / invite only.

Perhaps, Anthony or Michael can get in touch with BP to confirm. But, they may request to keep it under wraps even though it's real.

Since sports betting is illegal in India, they may be wanting a few big affiliates push this brand but remaining clandestine.

They hire independent teams for Southeast Asia/Latam and now even India and they give them a lot of independence and wait for results. I would say this is the North American approach. My impression is that they get a lot of feedback from it and they learn a lot. Bp is a group like no one, I am forced to trust them.

Another thing is that their Grey Eminence Riyaz is gone now. He was they guy who was always doing a lot of small (and extremely important) work 24/7.

Dana was the last one. I had to contact her, because the contact at bodogindia is totally nonresponsive.

India's cricket betting market is massive, but most money flows through offline bookies in South Africa, Malaysia (Singapore as a banking base) and Dubai.

However, people are changing their attitudes; especially the millennials, who will not contact a local shady phone liner. They'd rather deal with legit or semi legit operations abroad, on their smartphones, win some money and then insta-eff it or whatever the kids are up to these days.

This market is quickly developing for affiliates who want to get in today.

Short update: Got message by Dana (BP) and a better informed Skype contact ... end of the story, Bodog India is not a scam, it is run by a local marketing team that operates outside of Best Partners.

Wonder if India traffic actually converts. Cash economies usually rely on sketchy deposit methods. Without looking into it I would assume they use mobile deposits and bank transfers. Sans CC's

4G subscriptions have increased cashless movement.

Both Betfair and Bet365 do considerable business in this region.

I saw a documentary on youtube on cricket betting in India. All offline bookies had Betfair app opened up for odds on their smartphones. They probably direct all risk over to them as the final destination.

India - Pakistan cricket can easily see up to $70 million to $100 million being bet on one match just on betfair exchange.

Cricket world cup is coming - so I'd imagine bodog wants a cut of that action.

Received the same e-mail from Derick Abraham yesterday also. Since very little information or even a link to their site did not even bother to look into it further. Following reading this thread glad I didn't waste my time.

I like BP, but this is pre-beta release.

I have signups, no players yet. They do not use cookies, just straight reg through some really weird interface.

They at least communicate in some way, that is hard to describe, and something unusual: using proper English, but asking weird things.

I just hope they will improve, like recently BP in Latam started to be really good (after concentrating on Bodog brand). Right now 1xbet in India is better for me.
