Good day Gents!

Just wanted to drop by and say hi to all of you.

I’m currently an affiliate manager for an adult affiliate program (and have been for over a decade now, this current one for 3 years already) and was hoping to shift towards the casino industry, seeing how very similar they are as for business model.

I’m here to learn and maybe even share my own experiences and hopefully be employed in the industry as well. I welcome any comments, questions, advice and anecdotes if you have any.

Winston, how do you compare casino promotion to adult site promotion in terms of revenue? ie which gives you a bigger revenue?

And do you find it is harder to promote adult sites?

Because after all, I can imagine inserting your links into pages would be more difficult. Although then again, adult sites are really a niche unto themselves so you put links in relevant pages anyway.

If you just went putting your links into any old page, you wont be protected from algorithmic-transmitted pests like penguin.

I would like to know your position on these things. Thanks.

1. I can’t give you any comparison on revenue because I’ve never personally promoted gambling (yet) although I can say I’m expecting gambling to be more profitable because adult has been becoming harder and harder especially if you don’t have custom (or original) content.

2. We don’t really have to bother much on whether the amount of traffic being sent to us is legit or not because this burden usually falls on the affiliate. He can send us as many clicks as he can but we only pay for the sales (PPS-pay per sale or Revshare 50/50). The problem arises if he sends us fraud joins, in which case our only protection is our own vigilance on detecting this early on by reviewing sales from time to time.

Hi Winston
Bookmaking is like being an actuary. That is assessing the probability of risk. But once you have done that you then need to monitor the market mitigate things like arb opportunities or get ahead of the curve on big market shifts..... that kind of stuff.
