I'm sure i speak for all of us hearing of the horrors in Victoria from the brush fires and the flooding in Queensland, when i offer my condolences to you and the people of your country. We all hope and pray that nature will turn back in your favor and help you overcome these tragedies and stop these horrific fires.

Thanks. Unfortunately each time I look at the news the death toll is higher from the fires. Complete townships being sealed off as crime scenes is astounding. Unfortunately the forecast for the weekend is not good with temperatures rising so everyone is working as much as possible over the next few days. Lower temperatures at the moment but still windy

Scenes of burnt out cars that have crashed into others is horrific, people hiding in pipes under the road and having to roll in the water as the flames came in, volunteer firefighters learning that their own homes have been destroyed whilst they were out saving others. Too many stories.

I returned to my house today (I live in suburban Melbourne) to find two guys stealing stuff. The crime scene policewoman said she normally does low level crime and would be spending the next few days out there investigating with other teams. The effect on the emergency personnel is incomprehensible.
