Pagerank Update

I have been working my butt off over the last few months, with my google ranking steadily increasing, yet somehow my PR went down! I just don't get it sometimes! Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Stop looking at your pr and take a look at where you RANK....not what the little green toolbar says....

To determine if the work you have been doing on the site is successful, take a look at whether your SERP placement is better today than it was...if so then you HAVE been going in the right direction.

By stopping what you have been doing and changing direction "based solely on Toolbar PR" WOULD be a mistake.

My sites all increased in PR, except for one (which I expected). Very happy with yesterdays update overall I think the issue of PR is something not everyone will agree on. Its a bit like asking the question, is there life after death? Everyone has a different opinion But in my opinion, I think PR is a very rough indicator of how well your site is doing. For example, If a website gets penalized for doing the wrong thing by Google, it will lose PR (as I've seen happen with so many sites, including some of mine in the past).

Of course it's pointeless to measure your success only buy looking at PR. But obviously, we still can see a correlation between Google PR and positions within a specific search term. On average we see that sites with "higher" PR rank higher. Of course there are other factors that are taken into consideration.
So i always advice not to listen to "opinios", people tend to base their opinions on their own experience. Build high-quality websites, nicely designed, with clear structure, good unique content and build links to it.

Sweet, we went from PR0 to PR3 in about 5 months. Nice to see our hard work is paying off.
