Hopefully it will weed out some more of the weaker/blackhat sites from the top results, and push us all up....and hopefully not hit us with some sort of penalty for something we thought we were doing right, but turns out not!
Yes I was reading about the roll out of Panda 4.0 on Search Engine Land.
Lets see what happens. I frequently Google certain keywords and if I compare my search results from last year to this year they are so different. I remember last year if you googled Live Online Casino, you would get affiliate sites, whereas now you get a page full of operators. If players are looking for a list of Live Online Casinos then they should search for Top Live Online Casinos or Live Casino Comparer ...

It is supposed to be "gentler" but yet effect 7.5% of searches. That is huge. I have yet to see any difference in my sites, which is a good sign.
Very generally speaking Panda weeds out the shallow content sites, where as Penguin weeds out the spam backlinks.
Since Cutts have been quoted saying that the algo has special filters for niches like payday loans and online casinos making it more difficult to game the system when dealing with high competitive keywords, the best bet is to still "play by the rules", but to know that what happens elsewhere is not necessarily indicative to our businesses.

I've seen some negative movements for some of my searches where they are preferring operators to affiliates. Rightly or wrongly, it's another kick in the bollocks for affiliates from Google who want to try and kill organic affiliates and make us all do PPC!
I am seeing some positive results. I thought the update was over, the mozcast was high on Monday.

I didn't notice any changes yet for my sites. But maybe there is some delay on the local engines.

there was 2 updates, first the spam algo was updated and then the next day panda http://www.seroundtable.com/google-s...ted-18580.html
Yeah I've noticed this too - big swing towards operators for certain terms. Guessing that's googles way of dealing with the 'spammy' niches perhaps. Annoying for us, but some of the operator-lead results don't really match the users query so I can see it adjusting back slightly in the next week or two once the big G takes a look at the new CTRs.
Oddschecker are again big winners, they've gained some very nice positions in this last update... gits!![]()

Some sites have gone back. and some have moved forward. hmmmm
I did not see any movements so far. We are on the same level even though the football season is over and the summer break before the world cup just started. So I think this is a good sign.
Few days back my keywords ranking affected but i was unaware of the fact that google has roll out panda, but now my ranking is again at normal i don't know how it's possible. But i got to know about panda yesterday.
