Default Pretty decent link bait - LeoVegas

Just seen this today, I'm from Newcastle, pretty good link bait on behalf of Leo Vegas, I bet their SEO team gets a pat on the back.

would be interested to know the ROI of adverts like these. I emailed the mirror a while back asking how much a similar advertorial would cost and they were only interested if they could stick their affiliates link in them

These are ads. They do this more. Articles about big winners in the Mirror. The Mirror also writes above the article that this is an ad... If you pay enought, you will also have your "backlink" there...

Dodgy dodgy. 3 blatant affiliate links in one crap article. Google will get wind of this eventually and possibly punish those sites involved, I wouldn't really want to go down that road, even for the short term gains.

I don't think this qualifies for a link bait though. Looks like paid advertising.I wonder if there's an official price list for such services.

Above the "article" is pointed out it is an ad. So the link should be no follow otherwise it's obvious a bought backlink.

It's a no follow affiliate link(s) ad. Not about the backlinks. It about branding in UK and appealing to the UK market.

What's dodgy about it? It's their site and they can publish whatever kind of ads they like.
Plenty of affiliates have more than 3 links in several pieces and Google don't seem to mind

The article is a clearly labelled ad, and the links are nofollow, so I don't think that google will have a problem with it.

Well, if it's no follow than they're doing al correct. They paid for an ad, The Mirror writes clearly it's an ad and the links are no follow. Nothing wrong with that.
