Default Some Affiliate Operators - You Need Better Communication

I am a little annoyed at people who run affiliate operators for some bingo sites. Their lack of comunication is below poor and with some I do not get a reply. Is anyone else having the same with any other affiliate operators ? I bet if an affiliate site was earning them loads and was going to leave they would reply.

This is true of a number of operators and seems to fluctuate over time.

Some groups that used to be well known to take care of concerns and never left an affiliate wondering when they would get a reponse to a post or email now let affiliates beg for weeks to get answers to questions and some programs who used to have a bad rep for contact are now easily accessable.

Then there are the true gems that are always around and always easy to reach.

The only thing tha I could recommend is keep trying, and if it is real important to get in touch with any specific operators, just post here that you need to get in touch witha group and ask your fellowaffiliates for help with contact.

Normally someone else here will have a way or method they use that is effective.

If NO ONE ELSE can get hold of the specific program, then continued promotion of that group is likely not a very good idea....

    I agree as well.
Some programs are better than others.
For me, this is very important.
I appreciate good communication with my affiliate managers.
I try and find the programs which have good communication, but unfortunately, as it changes "trial and error" seems to be the best way to find out.

Its not just bingo sites .... plenty of affiliate programs for casinos provide **** poor support as well. In the last month I have written half a dozen programs who take 1+ week to get back to me - many never have. Sad when you think that I have driven a few of those programs millions over the years.

If they dont see you as important enough to warrant a speedy response - I say F em - send your traffic to someone who values you as a partner!

Like the sig above says "If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!"

This does remind me of a few programs that haven't written back in over a month!

Default Grimace and bear it my friend

I've been at this for about a year now and I hate to say but this industry will probably never change.
Some Affs are great (Renee, you rock!) others are on and off and some are just plain miserable at returning emails or helping out with any (good?) advice.
Do like I did and if it gets too bad or unbearable, go elsewhere.

Great answer. We should all be like that and demand better customer support or no affiliates, simple.

Thanks for the replies people. I am glad it is not just me then. I have not been in the business long enough but I can image I will probably get the same problem with payments too.

The increasing number of affiliate complaint mainly on this forum can be the best example of that, if affiliate sites provide contact information then they must be ready to respond to calls or email. Its annoying to find affiliate site that looks to be dead when it comes to communication.

Have to jump in here and say - the same frustrations are experienced on the operator side - it's sometimes almost impossible to engage a new affiliate as you can hardly get hold of them to see if they want to do collaborate with you. I make it a point to always contact anyone who joins the progrma personally so they have all my contacts. This is very much a two way street - communication is key to succesful business, so if you want to get approached or want to engage with operators, make sure we can find your details in order to approach you (keep your affiliate accounts updated if you dont' want to put your details on your sites).

There is no excuse for an affiliate manager not to respond to you - if you are a small affiliate or a huge one - it doesn't matter you are still promoting the company brand, and that means you are important! (well...that's just my 2cents worth...)

Talking about communication I think the term availabilty has simply to be connected in this discussion. A partnership is only based on a two side communication and often we forget about this fact. As long as the partnership works correctly, a non existing communication base is not recognised. We assume that everybody is available all the time, although we are not in contact. But as soon as it comes to questions, barricades or problems - and as we don't find access or an "open ear" then - we feel abandoned. And this is a simple effect for all partnerships. So a continuing communication is very important to stay up to date and to react informed in all situations.

I'm glad that I can offer my support also here in the GPWA forum so that interested affiliates but also existing affiliates with questions about our working procedure, special deals etc. can contact me - I'll try to answer as fast and as individual as I can (therefore it also can take a little bit of time, I don't like copied stock responses ...) I'm ready: questions, offers, feedback - negative and positive - come and get me!
