I know you are the resident Video Poker expert.
Ah,yes, bow to the expertise of the Video Poker Junkie. :rof: :rof: :rof:
Actually, isn't PartyPoker regular poker, like Texas Hold'em and stuff? I believe they are, so I don't know anything about them, sorry. VP and regular poker are 2 different animals, and I don't run regular on my site.
I have a friend getting into this biz on the net, tho, who's a serious expert in regular poker - what kind of feedback are you looking for? As a webmaster or as a player?

I'll be opening a real poker site soon but have yet to look into potential affiliate programs fully.
All I know about Party Poker at the moment is that they are run by the boys at www.iglobalmedia.com
As you probably know, IGM have had serious claims of non-random casino software in the past but look to have cleaned up their act.
IGM affs I have talked to report payments like clockwork, but players have less than favourable experiances.
Any further info would also be greatly appreciated by myself![]()
Thanks guys...
I plan on expanded promotion of vertical casinos that key on a game type, IE slots, Poker Blackjack etc... I am trying to find a few good programs for each category and I stumbled across PartyPoker from iGlobal.
i just purchased an all poker site... check it out http://www.pokerprophet.com it is a 30% rake program and 2 tiers where you get $25.00 per webmaster referral plus 5% of their rake.
i'll give it a shot, I play hold 'em it's a big game.

I am looking into POSSIBLY doing a page on real poker on my site. I have been a poker player for 10 yrs or better. And a good one I might addI just had a friend tell me about Party Poker, he's a player though, knows nothing of the website standpoint and says he really likes them. He told me if I sign up make sure to use his name as they give referrals, and I told him to download a casino from my site and play video poker
. Just a little humor there... but I am starting to look into which poker rooms do what with affiliates etc. If anyone knows much of this please let me know and when I find out some info I will do the same. It may or may not be worth it. I do know and play very often on Planet Poker and Poker Stars. I was informed that Poker Stars does no type of referral with webmasters.. will update as I find out. Take care all!!

The online poker room industry is growing rapidly. Party Poker is by all means a good forum and they do pay their webmasters regularly. I have a very good working relationship with them and know some of their employees personally.
If you are looking to buy a poker room, IGM is NOT the place to do so unless you have $300,000 just for the poker room and the ability to market the site. I looked into getting a poker room from them.
I purchased a poker room from GutPoker.com. I have to say that this has been a very pleasant experience and is becoming profitable after only 10 weeks. I am averaging 45 new players a week at the moment.
What makes this different than the other poker rooms are some of the games they have to offer. They have Monte Carlo Guts which is a 3 card poker game where the highest hand wins. You can have a straight, flush, 3 of a kind, pair, etc...
They also have GutsPoker (patent pending). Guts is 2 card poker with the highest cards winning except there are no straights or flushes. Highest is 2 aces then 2 kings, etc...
These 2 games are like slot machines. They average 35 hand per hour and you get a piece of the rake from each hand played. The rake is the commission the house takes for sponsoring the game. Everyone plays against real people and never the house so the house never gambles...they just take their rake.
If you have a table of 10 people at Guts Poker, the average rake is $1.37. Take that number and multiply it times 35 hands per hour. That's how you make money in the poker room business.
If owning a poker room is not in the cards as to say, then there is always the affiliate route. The difference is the percentage of rake that you would get. IGM will give you 20% up to $10,000 in rake and 25% over 10,000. Do you know how long it takes to get $10,000 in rake? If by chance you happened to reach that mark, then next month you start from scratch again
If you're interested in owning a room, feel free to cantact me and I'll put you in touch with the right people at Guts Poker. They are a publicly traded company and are moving up real fast in the poker arena. It won't be long before they pass IGM with the new software being introduced in 2 weeks.
If you want to go the affiliate route, I noticed a post in the forums from XBOOKIE. You might want to look into his offering. I looked at his site and it is very professional.
If you wish to contact me, please do so at mikeus2000@hotmail.com
and I will forward any information you may need.

Actually, that sounds like a cool place to play!!! I'll have to try it!
