Default Pieces of questions from a new user ..(Programme, Chinese User, traffic share)

Hi, first of all thank you for taking your time to read this. I am new here but I am interested in joining the business.

I have encountered some noob questions as below:

    1) Do we join affiliate programme from each individual casinos? Or do we join ONE programme with a collection of casinos? I have read the forum and found users here recommended Rewards Affiliates which I assume is the latter one.

    2) I am planning to set up and operate the website in EU, but the target audiences are Chinese. Would that be acceptable for the affiliate programme? For example if I join Bet365's affiliate programme, the user click through and register with bet365 with their Chinese ID and play with Chinese currency, would I get commission?

    3) I have read about if I want to add gambling tools for example Odd Compare to the website, the company who provide Odd Compare may charge 50% traffic. How is it work? Is there a function at the affiliate programme that we add a partner with 50% share? Or do we do it manually and separately with the partner.

    4) Last question, I have contacts who can make offline referrals, how could I identify those referrals and pay the contacts accordingly?

In China Peoples Republick? You need to contact with Bet365 affiliate managers after registration. They give you special "offline code" or something like that. Players type it during registration process. Or you may create account for you players name (using your ownaffiliate links) and give them passwords. As i know, many affiliates use these "offline scheme". Especial on Chinese/Asian market. Contact 365bet aff.manager after registration, for more information.

    Sorry for my English.

Some programs are for groups which own multiple casinos (eg: rewards). Others manage programs for multiple different owners (eg: income access network). There are also third party programs which combine multiple programs, but there is a risk to using these.

Generally speaking though it's better to diversify to reduce risk, so promoting brands from multiple programs is a good idea. Otherwise if that program goes south you'll lose all of your accounts.

Depends on the program. Some won't allow chinese players. If they accept them, it doesn't matter where your website is based (provided you comply with local laws and regulations).

Will depend on the tool. In the past these 50% shares I've seen work on clicks - so your link gets shown 50% of the time and there's gets shown 50% of the time. So it's a traffic split rather than revenue.

Some places will have bonus codes you can use. Alternatively you could register a domain (don't use anything connected to the name of the brand) which redirects through your affiliate link (some programs may not be happy with this, so always check first). Or you could just have a simple site you direct people too. You could also have business cards with a QR code for your aff link.

Gambling Domains: Small clear out of some of the domains we've been hoarding on Dan - see the list here. Prices negotiable, and willing to swap for decent links.

    Thank you for your information.

Another question to add: Are we due for Legal responsibilities as affiliates for example base in the UK? Do we need a license or is there anything about betting sites that we cannot promote?

As I saw some of the other users put disclaimer that they do not promote casinos that accept US players. That might be a US based company thing, is there something equivalent in the UK or EU region?

I suggest you read the article at the link below. Its a very grey area! Im sure others on here will have more information as the UK is not my arena.

The short answer is before you embark on any venture be informed. I know plent exchange touts in China that have spent time on the wrong side of the bars.

I thought I should add. If you are offering any sort of "form" or "tipping" service in the UK I believe you are required to hold a license.

Im happy to stand corrected if anyone else has more information.

Thank you for your insight, What is a "form" service?

From the articles I was quite convinced that what we do here is not facilitating gambling as we do not register or take payments for the casino, that is If I were to display odds from different betting shops at one place. I am not sure if I have got it wrong.

Firstly a form service is the compilation of data that may or maynot suggest what the outcome of an event may be. Ir atleast the likely probability of an outcome.

My understanding is. That an offs comparison site would not require a license. But remember im not a legal practitioner
