I think both are relatively useless for our niche, aside from some isolated cases. However Pinterest does give away link juice, so it`s worth registering.

I use Instagram for all my fun stuff and it seems to be more of a branding tool. Whereas some pointed out, Pinterest is desktop based and allows link posting, thus better for our type of marketing.

I've read online that both Instagram and Pinetrest have cracked down on fake accounts and bot account and purely advertising accounts quite recently so make sure you look a little genuine.

Unfortunately Instagram got rid of a lot of real accounts too. I've noticed a lot of my friends have unfollowed me on instagram and when I click on their account it says they no longer exist. They may not have used the accounts for a little while but still.

I vote for Instagram. Personally haven't tried Pinterest, but I believe Instagram is mobile, meaning you get better conversion rate and more involvment from you followers. And for future... Instagram is only growing every day!

I say pinterest as most of your players are not coming from mobile sites. Also I see pinterest as more of a business network then Instagram..

My perspective pinterest is the best resource for getting high visitors to any web site, Instagram is slowly and requires long way to do.

You can use instagram only on Mobile while use Pinterest into Mobile as well as PC well. Both are images based social networking sites and we all know the popularity of instagram. But for promotion purpose, I go for Pinterest otherwise Instagram is best.

I was wondering if I should star with Instagram....I use Pinterest, it's easy to use but have to say I don't really see much benefit from it, some but not alot, i'm just using it as an extra tool (maybe i'm doing it wrong ...!) Have never even tried Instagram for work (only personal use and barely use it for that)

I think i'll just stick to Pinterest for now.
