Very few recognize torrents, or their sites with legitimate uses and the UKGC is acting based upon perceptions, and I am surprised that they have not yet included the client programs along with the torrent sites themselves.

To make the argument about forum software, I see the point, however, forum software has the perception of the majority of legitimate uses, whereas torrent software has a much more difficult task making that argument.

And Facebook does in fact get MANY requests for removal. I think the sheer volume of movies and other copyrighted content that is up there is so massive that it is quite a task for them to take action, but like Youtube much has been removed and more action will be taken over time.

Very interesting point about the French decision as I had not seen that.
