The website (theme itself) is very old-school with weird colours (i don't personally like it, more minimalistic white/grey would be better). Website is not mobile friendly and was loading pretty slowly for me.

From SEO perspective add ALT tags and a bit more text on your main page. Sort heading tags as well, as you have to "H1" tags on your main page for example.

betplanning, it looks like wix to me.

Yeah it is Wix. The choice of colours was to tie in with the Stadium background which we wanted to use to give it a football feel.

Hi I don't know either. Because it loaded slowly for me, I tried both Chrome and Firefox (no problem with broadband). Then I went to speedcheck website, and it shows that everything is fine. I believe it is coding issue, or trying to reach Wix template. Not sure really.

And I agree with betplanning, that you should move to another CMS.

Wix is ****.. example I have one website with wix and there is no possible to redirect the website.. So in the future you find a lot of problems with wix.. the redirect one is just example.. For my eyes the site looks quite good and it loads very fast for me. I have quite slow broadband..

Mainly you need to allow gzip and minify css. With WP it's pretty easy - not sure how it is with wix.

Hello,

I can give you some SEO suggestions.

1) Set a meta description (you don't have it) it is a bad thing for Google.
2) Write some text (3-400 words) on the homepage focusing on "Fantasy Football" Kword.
3) Set a H2 heading title.
4) One of your content is not visible in home. The subscribe block says:
"We're sorry, this content cannot be displayed. Please try again later."
Fix it it!

5) The subscribe form in homepage is dangerous for bot attacking. Some "bad colleagues" could try to do a brute force attack on your form. Try using captcha or moving it on an other page. But you will still need captcha. Try using the google one.

6) Contact a webmaster and move your website on a "professional" cms.



Anyway You are on the right way, try with these fixing. Congratulations for you very strong Social values!

We originally had a text heavy home page which was too static so we made changes adding a landing page and reducing the amount of text on home page to keep certain content above the fold. We felt this was applicable since we are an educational site in addition to pushing affiliate products but any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

We do have a meta description and have an H1 title on this page instead of an H2 since we have the logo. so in total 1xH1 11xH5 4xH6.
Wix is obviously getting quite a bit of bad press on here but we intend sticking with it for the time being and generally look for workarounds to solve problems.

The subscribe box seems to be working fine for us but we will look into adding a captcha.
