    Default poker affiliates

New to this forum and looking to learn.

Apologies in advance for glut of newbie posts, (need to get my post count past 10).

What are peoples thoughts on William Hill’s and 888’s poker affiliates ?

Currently I’m only signed up with these two, and I’d be interested to hear peoples opinions on them.

    thanks

brace yourself to be offered some sub affiliate links now

regarding your question about hills and 888 - I haven't done much poker at all with them, but have done sports and not had a problem at all with either. some people won't have a good word to say about either but always paid whats owed and been approachable, hills more than 888 tbh on that front

not sure they still do it but pokerstars and full tilt were closing accounts for not sending players so look into that before you sign up with them and be aware of that

    good luck

    Thanks for the info.

If you don't mind me asking, who else have you used for poker you'd recommend from experience?

Be assured there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with being offered sub-affiliate links and anyone that thinks that is bad should stop offering affiliate links to their website visitors if they happen to recommend a sportsbook or casino with a personal recommendation.

there is when people go rushing to threads just to offer sublinks and make out they are doing the OP a favour. it's as of it's the only reason they reply to such threads. If someone asks for info i give it them, not try and make money off their back on here

As a newbie, you should check out the Terms and Conditions of the sites you sign up to. Some sites impose a minimum player rule where commissions can drop considerably if you don't meet certain targets. W Hill being one of them.

If your traffic numbers are low, you might be better placed sending your traffic elsewhere.

Without wanting to be rude being new to the forum. The question was which poker affiliates were decent -- not which ones dosh up sub affiliates.

Thanks Doolally. Do you know if it's published anywhere by W Hill what their targets are, or what the initial commission drops by after what period ? It appears that I'm on 25% for the small commission received thus far.

I'm still doing quite a lot of poker. It's a matter of country and platform (mobile?) which brands are working. I've had very good results from 888. Feel free to contact me via PN with some more details. Maybe I can help.

Thanks Josh. My new site will work on mobile or desktop when live, (currently just running a temporary solution). I'll carry on with W Hill & 888 for now and apply for more when proper finished site is live.

I do not know if Will Hill drops the poker rate the same they do with casinos, but if the quotas (bad for all affiliates) are not met for casinos they can and do drop commissions to 5%.

That leaves affiliates wide open to sign up players, have a few bad months and have a player win a large chunk while you are on 35% and then suddenly find your commission lowered to 5% and you have to pay back the negative (gained at 35%) but paid back at 5%.

The above can and has happened with affiliates.

That can put the affiliate (especially newer or smaller affiliates with traffic and player volumes which might be volatile) at a fairly high risk.
