Poker Portal Question
Hello Everyone, I just recently joined and this is my first post, so go easy on me I'm developing some poker portals - they're almost done and I should launch sometime within the next week. These sites focus exclusively on poker and I was just wondering if anyone here has any poker only sites? If so, how successful are they compared to "standard" casino portals? Thanks for your time and help!
Ben

Hi Ben,
We have many members here with "poker only" portals; some are successful, some aren't. Poker also runs a very different commission model.
Are they more profitable than casino sites? It depends on who's running it.

Thanks for your reply. When you say that poker sites have a different "commission model" what do you mean? For poker sites, it looks like affiliates get between 20-35% of the "rake" on the rev share option or between $75-150 on the per player option. This seems very similar to the rev share and per player options of "regular" casinos.

Rake is much, much smaller than player deposits and play at casinos. Your income will come from building up a sizeable player base.
All CPA's have deposit/wagering requirements, so make sure you check those out before you decide which one to take.
