    Default PokerStars returns to Portugal

    Portugal’s Serviços de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos (SRIJ) announced on Monday that it issued an online gaming license to REEL Europe Ltd, part of PokerStars parent company, Amaya Gaming:

    Permit for operation of games of online gambling in Portugal

    The Games Committee, at a meeting held on November 25, 2016, decided to issue to REEL Europe Limited, under the Pokerstars brand, a license for the exploitation of games of chance, on the Internet site www.pokerstars.pt, You can explore the following types of games: Poker in tournament mode, Poker in the variant "Hold'em", Poker in the variant "Omaha", Blackjack / 21 and French Roulette.
    The launch of the new Pokerstars.pt website will mark the first time Portuguese players can play on PokerStars since it left the country in 2015.
