Question Poll: Would you use a mobile app to get your stats?

One of my big frustrations across the board with all affiliate programs is that I can't get my stats in an app on my iPhone. I'm a part time affiliate at best and this is one of my real pet hates. Luckily I'm also an app developer in my "Day Job" so I've built a couple of apps for all the affiliate programs I promote heavily so I can get my stats.

So I thought I'd share some screenshots here for feedback, etc.

(Obviously the numbers have been faked for privacy and the logo is used without permission so if this thread disappears.... )

I don't like checking stats for moblile Smartphone or tablet, I prefer using a desktop or laptop.

I don't REALLY see the need for access to stats while I am out and about and I'm not sure that I'd trust a 3rd party app with my sign on data.

I have a tablet - so I already sort of have mobile access to back end systems - but it's rarely used.
I only look at stats once a week at most and usually want to be at the PC to do so - as I record basic invoice and stats totals.

I would use it yep, I'm a stats geek so I would find it useful as something to do when bored rather than having to be on my computer to get the stats. Good for when on holiday or just out and about.

Personally, I like to keep my data in spreadsheets so doing custom analysis is easier. I don't really see how an app could do that. Also I spend my work time in front of my laptop, so I'd only use the app in my 'free time' or on holidays.

I think having an app as a backup plan and easy access to your stats is a great idea in fact we are in the process of looking at one our selves but this is mainly due to the fact that we have multiple logins and it would be far simpler to have a Stats Dashboard App that affiliates can just get an overview of their daily stats then having to login in to multiple accounts .

Every extra tool is handfull and it would be easier to access stats anytime.

I don't have a problem with using an app to access my stats, as long as the app has been extensively tested and has a lot of positive reviews from trustworthy and reliable sources.

    Yes.

I think mobile is the perfect platform for checking the stats, especially if you could combine data from different affiliate programs. I'd love to be able to just check the app and see my earnings across the board on one screen. I'd even pay like $10 for monthly subscription.

There's definitely a niche to fill here so if you do this and do it right I think you won't regret it.

I think this is a smart idea.

As they say, time is money, and being able to spend some wasted time (i.e. using public transport) doing something more useful would be great to boost productivity.

It is also good for people who need to get their stats fix ASAP!

I like the idea, how else would you check your stats while on the toilet?

It's called a laptop, pad or tablet....or even a phone that uses a browser instead of needing an app that sits on your phone with usernames and passwords either in the app or in yet another database somewhere adding more risk.

Unless this mobile app can connect to multiple aff programs simultaneously to get your stats
If there is an app offering this service I'm willing to try it

At the moment the credentials are stored on the iPhone / iPad in the same encrypted store as where things like your apple login token, facebook token, etc. We then send them direct to the affiliate website but the obvious problem with this approach is scalability as it uses scraping.

    Thanks
