Pop Ups - Yes or No

Just curious what you guys are doing for visitors when you send them to a casino. Are you using a target_blank to open a new window for the casino or not? I use to always open a new window when I would send a visitor to a casino so my website would still be open for them to come back to but when pop ups started being so virus related I quit doing it.

Pros and cons for each so what are you doing? Pros for using a pop up would be your website is always still open for the visitor to come back to. Con - if the visitor doesn't allow pop ups they have to let your website open them and may not do that. By not doing a pop up you know the visitor is always going to the casino but then your website is not open anymore. So they would either have to use the back button or chances are they re google maybe??

If the casino opens in a new tab, I think that's the way to go.
If a new window, it's probably more ideal to have it load in the same page.

I have good experience with Popups, but there must be really a special deal displayed on it Ex. Free money, or free spins, there are good conversions to registrate and try advertised casino.

I don´t like this kind of pop ups that start after a certain period of time. It is annoying for the visitor the get pop ups without a click on an offer or link.

It must be a Popup with great title and good offer, something like: just for you. Also there is a possibility to close this Popup and never see it again for a period of time. What kind of popups are you using?

ok then it makes perfectly sense of course but I don´t like automatic redirects without anything special. I only open a new window when someone clicks on a link.

I have tried open in same window, visitor nealry always clicks back for the promo code or info he needs.. so will see the same visitor open the link 3 times usually.. now I just open in new window to improve the experience and give them an option to see more on my site should the landing page not be up to scratch,

Yes - I guess I should have been more specific. I am talking about _blank for when you are sending a visitor to a casino. As for a popup which comes up offering a deal or something like that - I hate them. Popup ads suck! I wish they were banned and personally if I am on a website and they hit me with a popup ad i close the website - HATE IT!

Everyone hates popups, that are annoying, but there are different kinds of them. In wordpress, there are many of plugins to make a nice popup, that can be displayed only on some sites, user stays in your site if he doesn´t accept current offer, no other windows or tabs are not opened. If you use pretty made popups wisely, it can be huge weapon. But I am not takink his opinion to anyone

That´s right. If you hate annoying Popups on other webs, that doesn´t mean, that they don´t work for you. I had a Popup displaying free money offer for three months now - great conversions. Who wants free money clicks and registrate, who doesn´t simply closes the Popup and movec on to website. Still my bounce rate was under 20%

Exactly. I'm not "the average user of internet". I also do ignore the offers that are just near the cashier at the supermarket, but fact is that a lot of people make an impulsive buy at that moment waiting in the queue at the cashier.

I think also that those pop-ups that pop up when you want to close the page are useful. The traffic was already lost and you give it a last shot with those pop ups. People who find pop-ups really annoying also do use pop up blockers...

Totally right. No one who´s making websites is not an average internet user, 98% are consumers, which will get attracted by a good offer. Exit popups are also great tool to save lost traffic. We must look at the things by eyes of our customers, not by ours, cause we see things a little differently.

But truth is, that there are popups assigned almost to every aff page on the internet, not just gambling. Those are collecting emails to grow their database, but when you come to such a page just for a simple info and everytime you get a popup, it´s annoying, that´s right.

Yep. Masses of people do buy things in shops they actually do not need but are presented at a good spot in the shop and as a offer they should not miss. Also I think that people that really hate pop ups (and would ignore your website in case of a pop up) are using pop up blockers, so anyway they won't see a pop up.

Any idea about a plugin that provides the exit popups? I think that ones are the best. Traffic that will see the popup was already lost, so that's perhaps better than putting traffic at stake to present the popup earlier...
