Hi,

Has anyone outsourced this or done this themselves and if so how did it go? I believe its got a lot of clout but could be a bit difficult to do seeing how much of an outcast online gambling is.

I released mine to the usual article boards and had a mixed response. Go article and free press were the best views. As far as outsourcing
them I think the press release aspect of this industry has been worn a bit thin and doesn't have the impact it once had. Spend your money elsewhere.

It is a simple as creating a piece of informative article and feeding it to numerous free press release sites waiting for contents to show to their loyal readers. Though outsourcing may help save time, but I think doing it yourselves is a bit wiser.

I usually do them myself. I don't think you'll gain too much by having the same exact press release out on 100's of sites. I pick the most common ones and then move on. Here are the ones I use.

It depends what your aim is - are you after the links, or are you hoping to actually be picked up by news sources?

If it be links yar after (yar!), then you could do it yourself to the free sites mentioned already. Or alternatively pay somebody to do it - http://www.24-7pressrelease.com/ are pretty cheap. It's probably a bit like submitting articles - yes you can do it yourself, but if you can't be bothered or don't have the time you can get somebody else to do it for you.

However, if you want to stand anywhere near a chance of being picked up by the press (and you would have to have something significantly newsworthy for that to happen) then you need to get it onto a major press release site or through a media distribution agent. Unfortunately, journalists don't while away their days looking around free press release sites..

A quick question on PRs guys. Do you write them to be informational or to actually promote your site?

They have to be informational. Make them like a news article with a passive third person perspective. If you make them with marketing tone then they will not be accepted by pr.com or other paid press release sites.

I've found that I have to remove all words like "best", "amazing", or pretty much all adjectives that make your project sound better. lol

If you keep it news worthy then you will not have a problem.

Some nice inflammation guys. I have not used press release that much and I would like to do them myself rather than out sourcing.

For getting traffic and buzz through them is it best to use the paid ones, or are the free ones just as good?
