Just wondering if anybody on here is familiar with Joomla.
One of my descriptions are displayed as this
"10+ items – Claim you generous Bet at home free bet today. A massive £50 ...
• Minimum odds for the qualifying bet – 1.70
• Summary of the offer – 50% of first deposit is payable as a freebet bonus, up to ...
• Key information regarding the offer – Free-bet must be redeemed within 10 ..."
And I can't for the life of me figure out why
Can anybody help, I am 80% sure the problem is because of Joomla somewhere, yet other pages are fine

Are you seeing that in Googles SERPs? If so it's probably because Google often shows a text snippit from the page if it feels its is more relevant than the meta description.

I see this when the information is contained within a table. Interesting to know if this is the same reason.

I'm not sure if you've figured it out yet as this post is from October....
My site is Joomla based too.
So, it could be the Googlew snippet as baldidiot mentioned.
One thing I've learned is that Joomla allows meta descriptions for artlicle, categories, menus and site. You could double check all the meta descriptions there to start.
I'm guessing it's the google snippet though.

alot of sites have this in google results, i get it when on my category descriptions (wordpress) even though i have my site set up not to show it like this, i think google will just show it how it wants, iv noticed alot recently the date being showed before the results ie, "9th oct....the best casino blah blan" just google being a dick i guess

Google displays like that when they find a kind of list or <ul><li> thing and they find ir usefull to show it like that

it only displays up to xx amount of characters I believe 36 off the top of my head any word over that character limit will then be cut off. hope that was the answer to the question you were looking for.
