    Default Proof Google is stupid

Ok here is some proof that Google can be kinda dumb sometimes.

    See this search
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&a..._nhi=&safe=off

And yet if you go to the page you can clearly see that link does NOT exist on that page

I wonder if they are getting credit for me linking to them but I am not....

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!

That search string isn't trying to find a link to blackjackonline.net on your website, it's simply looking for any mention of blackjackonline.net.

What Google seems to have done is broken down your blackjackonline.net and returned the results for "blackjack online" - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...=&oq=&gs_rfai=

I still wonder if he is getting credit for a backlink that doesn't exist.

I have seen them give me credit for backlinks that do not exist based upon certain keywords that might match a portion of a domain name at times....

The search I performed looked for something specific (I shouldn't need to put it in quotes since there is no space seperating two words) and they returned incorrect results.

This is not the only time I have seen this happen, but thought it was a fair example since there wasn't thousands of results.

    Hi Rick

Did you ever have a link to that site from that page?

This does seem very odd and is certainly not what I would expect.

I can see Peters theory and it might be correct, but I do think google shouldn't be doing that.

Yes - that appears to be all that they have done.

Test it out by searching crapsonline.net site:gambling-world.net or onlineroulette.org site:gambling-world.net or pretty much anything else where the split keywords would be found on your site.

Good idea Brian, I will do some additional searching to see what else comes up...

casinogod, as far as I know and based upon my notes I never had a link there.....

I agree thta this is somewhat of a normal thing but tthat was sorta my original point that at times this stuff shows up completly incorrect from what (programming logic) should show.... I mean we are talking a query here that should be looking at a query string and comparing that query string against a result containing the same string.

I understand the differences when they are different words or groups of words....

Another one of those search engine hmmmmms.....

I've done further digging, and there are reports of the "Phrase Search" being inaccurate as far back as 2003.

    Thanks,

I have noticed the inconsistencies for years but didn't realize how far back it had gone.

If you click the "cached" in the serp result it says:
"These terms only appear in links pointing to this page: blackjackonline net "

I would like to know why the places which are advertised (allowed by google) are allowed to do so ... when I cannot?

The last I understood things to work ... you had to live in an area where it is legal to gamble online and that those ads wouldn't be allowed to be shown to those in the states.

well the .info site starts out greeting you with an ad for a casino accepting USA.
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

    Hi Rick

that query only finds the text "blackjackonline" within the site.

if you really want to take a look at which sites are linking to yours, don't use google's site query

    try this: http://www.online-utility.org/webmas...n_analyzer.jsp

there are some out there that will also analyze anchor text
i find this one to be more accurate
and none of them will go past 1000

    hope that helps!

Google is certainly MORE stupid than the members here, and we notice patterns and trends IMMEDIATELY....
