Default Qatar's New Football Stadium Is Inspiring

The Daily Mail reports about the new Qatar football stadium being built for the 2022 World Cup.
I actually like the design and think they really penetrated the look and feel of a modern stadium and planted a seed for future designs. The only thing to worry about is moisture building up in inner ring, but generally speaking I would definitely consider coming in for a visit.

Moisture is a big concern a design like that. I can imagine the pitch getting pretty soggy as amount of the play increases.

I bet they're going to invest millions in gardening, as they have to make sure the pitch is well trimmed.

That is the coolest of designs and think it would be fun to go see a football (soccer) game there.lol

Isn't it interesting that it is more shaped like an American football?

I think fans will have the most fun and a better experience if they are seated at the top part of the top side of the stadium.

With proper stimulation you'll get that baby filled with excited fans.

Why is Qatar hosting the world cup again? The stadium might look nice but if they keep it in the summer too many fans will die. If they move it to the winter then they will be a major disruption for European football.

I agree, its going to me a mess.

Plus, I think there is some type of controversy with the way they are treating their workers building those stadiums.

It's not just the workers in the stadiums. Qatar is notoriously known as one of the countries who treat their hard-labor workers (and by "their" I mean the Indian workers they import) with the most vicious and inhumane ways. People are literally working to death, get no social rights, let alone getting paid a decent wage.

FIFA just announced that players coming from the back door will get an automatic suspension.

I hear the navy are stopping by for a tour, the stadium is going to be overflowing with sea men.

If I didn't know any better, I would assume all these jokes are being made because it looks like a giant fat VAGINA!

    There, I said it.

    Carry on.

It looks like a giant vagina? Looks a bit too metallic in my opinion.

I believe that the Christian Science Society of Dixon, Illinois have requested planning permission to build their latest outreach centre just next door...
