    Default Quality

    Hello everyone.

I'm am mid way thru building a new gambling website...i feel that i have fairly good content but the look of the site is poor....in your opinions would viewers be put off by the look of the site or would they see past that and go on content......????

Also with regard to search engines do you feel that the only way to get high in the rankings is to flash the cash??

Any help you can provide would be gratefully recieved.

That would depend on how crappy your design skills are. Be brave - post the URL

Yes, we can't tell anything if we can't see it. Content is king, but you have to be able to read it without having all your senses assaulted...

Re. the searchengines, flashing cash only works if you know whereto do it. Good old manual submission and exchanging lots of links still works very well.

If you think your site looks poor..... :-? Viewers form first impressions from their initial look at the site. What's your first impression?

Quality of content will get you into the SE's for free - most of them, anyway.

Its worth mentioning that if your design skills really are poor you can get ready-designed templates for your website which can add that professional touch.

Although content is important, merchandisers have known for years that an appealing display can sell products, and your visitors may equate the quality of your design with the quality of the casinos displayed there-in.

Err on the safe side and spend that little bit longer on your page, or purchase a ready made template.

Lastly, best of luck with your new site

The path to the buttons were messed up by saving it to your desktop
they probably read something like file:/c:/your old folder/flash-button.swf

No one will trash your efforts here! You are trying and that is good enough.

If you are having technical problems or otherwise then please post or email.

If no one wants to help you, then you will get told to go away. The fact is, you have more chance of being picked up by a UFO.
