    Default Question About Rich Webmaster

I have been reading through the forums and have read several posts regarding Rich Webmaster. I guess what I am looking for, from the more experienced portal owners, is whether or not, in YOUR opinion this affiliate program is worth my pursuing. I've seen a lot of negative feedback, but then I have seen some that say good things.

My domain has been online for nearly a year, but I never really worked hard at it, and I was trying different things with the domain, and I have now in the last month or so been getting really serious with this domain and I have been reading here and learning alot and that's the reason for this particular question. Obviously I don't want to promote something hard, only to end up with nothing out of it.

I have applied for membership to the private forums, and was initially denied because of the the misunderstanding about the direction I wanted to take the domain in...... MY FAULT. I explained the circumstance surrounding it, and I am still awaiting a response from the team. I hoping to be admitted, but not sure that I will be based on the previous appearance of the website, and the initial confusion by me on what direction I wanted to go in, but anyway, that's my problem, and I have to resort to the public forum, which is in itself valuable information to me! I anxiously await any input from anyone, and not wanting to wear out my welcome in this post any further, I'll take my leave.

    John

    Hey casinoglen,

I am glad that you are still going to be active in the public forums. This is a great source for a lot of information. Many of the members frequent these forums and are almost always willing to add their opinions and ideas

The vote is slowly showing you what many people think about RW

Programs tend to perform differently on different sites.

Even my sites, which share a common theme, will have different results for each casino.

Sites that are quite different from each other will have even more diverse results.

There are some programs I can't do anything with even though they are great casinos with great support and others are having great success with them.

Then there are programs that put the bacon on my table and many others never convert any players with.

Nobody knows why this is so. Sometimes a program will offer several casinos and you do well with one and not the others. The next site will have success with a different one.

We have all tried to figure that one out without success.

I have worked with Richwebmaster since 2001. When they first started they were using RTG software at their casinos. The players seemed to like Grand Banks casino at that time and I earned as much as $3000 a month with them. Then in the middle of 2002 they decided to switch to Playtech and even though I feature all three of their casinos at my sites I now earn under $200 a month (and thats at 70%!!!! commission in January) I am finally removing them all at the end of this month.

They just do NOT prouduce enough revenue to warrant exposure on my network. The ONLY reason I stayed with them this long was because I like the affiliate managers. Luke and Connie are wonderful to work with. It's a shame they have been given such lousy performing casinos to foist on unsuspecting affiliates.

thanks for the replies folks. While I think I do agree with Dominique about some casinos doing better on some portals, and not others, I think that the evidence is in, at least enough to sway me away from RW. Although the vote so far is kind of a split, there are enough people saying no, which indicates to me me there are problems. As Professor stated, when RW was running RTG software, his results were significantly different as opposed to the current results. I'm not trying to knock any program or anything like that, as I am sure that most managers work just as hard as the webmasters/mistresses on these programs. To this end, I believe that I will go ahead and drop the program. Thanks Again!

I have always been quite pleased with RW. They have always paid on time and have converted reasonably well for me. Brent and Connie (et al) have always been helpful in the past. I had a player who put my account into a negative balance of $12,500 (meaning he was up $50,000) and on my request they removed the player from my affiliate account (so I did not have to work off the amount to get profitable again).

I'd give them a go and see how they do for you, as Dom and the Prof said different programs work very differently for different people sometimes.

Good advice from all really, and when you read closely, really everyone is saying what I guess I already knew. I guess I was looking for the opinions of others as well. So I have come to a conclusion. Initially, I fully intended to drop the program as in my previous post, in fact I even emailed the manager informing them of this, BUT! Even as I was emailing them, even before I hit send, I was already regretting that I never even at least tried. That's usually not me. But, I hit send anyway. The whole time, (a full day passed) I was regretting sending the mail. Well I was about to email them when a email popped in there from RW which simply stated that the account would stay open, and when I was ready to start with them, they would be waiting. Well, I love a challenge and to make a long story short, I say to others this: Value the experience and knowledge of the members of this site, because in the few short weeks that I have been coming to this site, I have learned many new things, and the members are kind enough to respond and be helpful, and I thank you all. I have looked at the opinions, and I have decided to do what I should have already known and I am adding RW to my site. I post this on the board mainly to do RW justice. I don't want them or anyone else to think that I was trying to "bash" their program, only trying to learn and get opinions on a program that was new to me. Thanks for listening!

Having recently dropped all RB links, several Casino Rewards links, and a whole loads of others... I found myself in need of new casinos to promote. I've just started to promote RW for the first time as a result. They've been doing okay - certainly no worse than any of the casinos I've dropped.
