    Default Question about webpage speed.

I tested two webpages on Gtmetrix.com

One of them was, Facebook : Fully Loaded Time: 3.3s Total Page Size 1.34MB Requests:72
The other one, Askgamblers: : Fully Loaded Time: 7.9s Total Page Size 5.00MB Requests:131

How can this webpages load so, fast? And how can they be so, small only 5MB and 1.34MB?

I am concerned about my webpagespeed, I wonder how these two webpages can be so, small and so fast,
since they are huge and have a lot of pictures?

I think it depends on many factors. Also, if there are many scripts that run on the webpages along with the use of cookies and such, these will also have an impact. The other factors involved include: the hosting plan involved, the way that HTTP requests are handled and also how plugins are used. Some images will take longer to load than others, depending on their size and how much hard disk space they take up.

Thank you vtyunby65 for answear. Perhaps this was not a question on a very high level.
I will read trough my old tread about, how to increase webpagespeed.
I had a question there which, I didn't get an answear on :

I chatted with customer support and got the following advice, What do you think about the advice, will it help ?

You can try to increase the memory limit. You may refer below: Using the File Manager
Locate wp-config.php Open the wp-config.php file and search
for these lines: /** Sets up WordPress vars and
    included files. */ require_once(ABSPATH . 'wp-settings.php'); Just before these
lines, insert the following code: /** WP memory increase and max allowed
    memory for administration */ define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' ); // Increases
allowed memory for wordpress application. define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' ); // Increases allowed memory for administration area.

No problem, elieli88. CDN is just short for Content Delivery Network. Here’s a link for you to read more about it:

How much traffic your site receives and the type of server/shared-server your site is hosted on will make a difference too.

use a cdn, compress images and minimize your html. also make sure to not use more javascript than you need (IF you need it already). use a caching plugin will also help as the pages do no longer need to be generated anymore with each request.

you said you're using wp rocket, that plugin supports cdn so i suggest you to use that one rather than adding more plugins on top.

    Helllo,

There are two main reasons which are stated below:

    1) They use Dedicated/Managed Ultra High-Speed Servers with outperforming configurations.
    2) They use CDNs to load the static parts on CDN servers.

There also other techniques but above 2 are the main factors for this. As these are highly expensive to use, you have to start earning good money before applying them.

You may start by on-site optimization including images, javascripts and css files.

    Cheers
