Optimize images before you put them up and you do not have to use a plugin that takes a bigger heavier image and renders it again. An image that is optimized before uploaded will always be faster that a large image optimized with a plugin.

A better optimized theme when uploaded will always be faster then a theme that is optimized with a plugin.

A fast host with caching done server side will be faster then a plugin.

Additional plugins for caching if needed, it is good to find one that supports a CDN such as cloudflare etc if you go that route currently or may later. (there will probably be additional recommendations) Here are a few with pretty high ratings. There are a few threads here that have discussed this a number of times.

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/

Always remember, the MORE you can do without plugins, the better overall speed you can achieve.

You're actually not in a bad starting spot.

    1. Sign up for Cloudflare CDN directly. Free plan already speeds things up, and a paid plan has more speed features. To activate Cloudflare you must change the nameservers on your domain to what they tell you.
    2. Of your 150 requests, at least 50 are by Facebook. See if you can change that, use a more efficient plugin, or eliminate it altogether. Your site would load in half the time without this. It's not worth it, especially as I don't see Facebook as an important part of your design. You just got a link at the bottom. This can be done without calling Facebook 50 times.
    3. Some of your PNG images are huge. This casino chip is 174 kB. Resize the image to the size you intend to show it in. No need for 1000x1001 px image. I only found this one but I'm sure you got other similar cases.

Only after you sort this you can start looking into WP plugins. But some break your site so I'd be careful or not use them at all. I'm not using any, for a good reason.

If you happen to feel an irresistible need to thank me in form of a backlink from /partners, PM me for my URL. Do these things - they'll work. Do something about those Facebook requests.

Try out Autoptimize/Wp Fastest Cache combo and WebP Express to convert images to new formats after you upload them.

I use Autoptimize as well, it does a lot! They are also very responsive on wordpress forum to resolve pretty much any issue you have.

For me, it's WP Rocket + Cloudflare CDN. Very easy to use
