Default Quickthink Affiliates - unfriendly T&C change !

This is the email received by this program.

I personally think that if you want to work with affiliates this email should not have been sent in the first place !

    Hi,

This e-mail is being sent out to you to remind you that you haven't referred any new players on your QuickThink Affiliates account for at least three months.

As you are aware, we have recently changed our Terms & Conditions, reserving the right to suspend an affiliates activity and any entitlement to commission in the event that the Affiliate fails to refer any new Players in any three (3) month period.

To keep your account active, all you need to do is bring a new depositing player through your QuickThink Affiliates account by August 31st 2016. If no new depositing players are referred by this date, your account will be reviewed and possibly suspended.

However, we would love to continue our relationship with you and work together bringing more FTD's into QTA. Remember the more FTD's you bring in each month, the higher the rev share will be. You could earn up to 45% rev share each month!

If you have any questions regarding this e-mail, or anything else within the QuickThink Affiliates programme, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Kind Regards,

This tactic seems more and more common, is it actually effective? does it improve turnover? or does it blacklist the program as bad business partners and stops other affiliates signing up? surely the negative blowback costs more than the actual lack of exposure?

I hate these sort of emails and will not join programs that have these sort of T&Cs.

It's not, it's only make you feel like someone is putting his dirty hands in your pocket... but I guess it's working on affiliates that are already invested

Wish I had never bothered with these in the first place. They mailed affiliates last month to say about a change in commission levels but didn't mention they had updated the terms and conditions to say the what i've copied below. Really makes my blood boil that they can get away with this kind of thing . . .

    SCHEDULE 1: COMMISSION
Affiliates may be eligible for the percentage of Affiliate Revenue Share set out in the below table for each Referred Player per brand in each month during the term of this Agreement or for up to a maximum of 2 years from the date of the referral of the Referred Player (whichever period is shorter):
