joert,
That is a pretty strange question coming from an affiliate.
If you have a site that wants gambling traffic, then the majority of the links you would want would be from gambling related sites.
Acquiring links from a website that sells books or computer parts would not be a link you would want.
However, this kind of question belongs in the general seo section and not in a thread for someone selling or buying links themselves.

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!
thanks Rick. All this SEO stuff is quite confusing. I have a sports betting site ive only started up, with good content, but no backlinks really other than forums etc., and i'm trying to figure out if casino sites etc. would be decent links to get for it. Some places say yes, other say no.
Anyway, apologies for mooching in on the thread. I'll do some more research.
Casino sites are somewhat related but you would be better off getting links from other sports betting sites, be careful about buying them though, have you thought about doing some link exchanges?
Joert, you will find it VERY difficult to get rankings tractions without some paid links - your niche is just too competitive.
For example, I recently reverse engineered one pretty insignificant online casino (not on first couple of pages for 'online casino' in US) and they had well over 1000 paid homepage links.
I don't say all this to depress you but just to point out the reality of SEO in this space.
yes links are important i also buy links, but now preffer exchange with good quality website, my websites are page rank 3 , but hope soon be rank 4![]()
Good or bad for you - it all depends on the quality of the site that links to you, e.g. quantity of its own backlinks, their relevance, ratio of backlinks/PR (as in a page with PR 4 or 5 having no backlinks at all is probably a black-hat trick), Google bans in the current and the past and so on. So honestly, when you buy links you have a better chance of getting high quality links that will push your site higher in Google, especially when they are from the sites relevant to your niche, i.e. sports, betting, gambling, casinos, bingo, poker and even forex in certain cases. Also, when exchanging links the level of the sites that would agree to link to you will be not so much different from your own so the time it will take you to get ranked higher in search engines will be much longer. You know, in the end of the day any business requires investments.
if you are going to do a link exchange do it correctly, there is no point having a links page with 50 odd sites listed and getting a link on the same sort of page, totally pointless, and sites with excessive link exchanges got hammered in penguin
lads, thanks for everyone coming back, really appreciate it.
thebookiesoffers/everyone, what is the correct way to do it mate? Regarding no follows, or volumes etc? We're on wordpress..should we just do one page of lnks, or disperse them around the site?
Thanks again all.
If you enter into a link exchange and then put a no-follow on the links, then you should expect the person you are doing the exchange with to also add a no-follow to your links which are certainly less valuable to you.

the correct way is say if you are doing a free bets site you might want to right a little bit about football bets for example and then say for more football tips visit this site, then link to a football tipping site, and get them to do the same saying something like, visit this site to get free bets to use on our betting tips etc etc. Don't worry about no follows, get them, you'll need them to get a natural looking link profile.
As for links pages, think about it logically, a page with 50 links listed down (often hidden out the way on the site) isn't going to offer the user a benefit, after all the webmaster isn't going to make them too attractive and risk visitors following them and leaving their own site, so why would google give any weight to these links and link pages. By all means if you want to do a few link exchanges fine, spread it round the site and make it useful and you'll get benefit back
thanks again guys.
I wasnt saying I would do no follows, I was just asking is that the way two sites do this sort of exchange. I plan to get the relevant links on the relevant league pages of my site.
So follow links, agreed on in advance to be folllow links, here and there around he site is the way to go yeah? Whats the max per page you reckon?
Thanks again guys
One thing is sure - you either need to build up your own network or buy links.
When it comes to relevancy... take a look at the serps. Porn backlinks work as well as casino backlinks in my opinion.
Youre just on the safer side once Google decides to pay attention to relevancy...
PONYS ARE GAY
It's better not to place more than 10 external links from your homepage. So you'll get max 10 links in return.
The fastest way is to buy links
The slow but sometimes cheaper way is to grow your network to exchange directly or to sell links. But all your sites in the network should have good content, Google PR to look worthy for buyers
Buy through Teliad and Intellinks but be careful. Be sure they are on topic and internal pages.
Choice 2 is do link research through LineResearchTools, LinkAssistant, SEOMoz or have Ralph at FantomMaster do it for you.
Don't take shortcuts.

i agree..without paid links its hard to get high PR...if you need good PR good traffic you need to buy links...
The first thing to remember is learn that (toolbar pr) is NOT necessarily where you rank in the SERPS (search engine results pages).
Using seo consultants and link sellers that place MORE emphasis on pr than actual rank may not be your best move.
Links are very important to the success of a site, but they are not the most important aspect.
