Re Google ad words

I have a question on Google ad words, how do you know what the bids are to get a high ranking? And what does it take to get twards the top of the lists. I have tried to contact Google but no reply yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mike,

To set your max bid amount enter one of your ad groups and you will see "Current maximum CPC:" at the top left of your screen. If you click the edit button next to that you will be able to enter in an amount and calculate the estimates of your placements for terms within that group.

Just remember that relevancy and CTR will effect your ads positioning to a degree. Good luck getting gambling terms approved I have heard on the vine that people are waiting up to 2 weeks to get their ads live.

Thank you for your advice. And regards to Google delivery i was up in a
about 2 hours after signing up, but Google does have some miner software glitches but they said it would be resolved.

Well I donn't understand Google seems once i am up and running with them all is ok then they stop sending traffic, my campagne shows active but no hits in the past 24 hours not even impressions. Has anybody had this problem too?

Over at this universal webmasters board, they have a whole forum on Goog Adwords - that might help. Personally, I got so frustrated with them, I quit.
