I feel a bit disturbed watching that vid, borderline abusive to behave like that around a parrot - they're pretty sensitive creatures and the crazy reaction could be translated pretty much as a stress reaction to what the guy was doing.

I have to admit that whilst I did find it very funny - I agree that it was also a little disturbing too, but I got the feeling that this guy knew exactly how the bird would react which tells me that chances are he has bought the bird a few cages and gone through this process..... not sure if that actually makes it better or worse!!

Agreed. This guy is a terrible actor. He's obviously rehearsed this. Granted square cages are preferred. However, it's shameful to put this beautiful bird in distress for entertainment purposes. You are not wrong to be disturbed.

Take a look at this weeks headlines. A seal was killed and then a peacock to get a selfie.

I agree I was both entertained and disturbed by it but got busy shortly after watching it and never stopped to think about why it was disturbing...

And the way that he reacted and the choice of the language he used is a clear indication that is one of the only words that the guy uses around him...

I remember seeing the report about the baby dolphin that a group of people passed around for selfies that died (he overheated) but had not seen the others. Some people do not stop and think about the consequences to their actions.

Its a rescue bird and it was kept in that cage that was too small for it.
