    Default RealDealPoker?

what happens to Real Deal Poker

The poker room was closed 22/9-2010 and they promised it would be reopened within a few weeks

I have/had sent 300 to 400 players to Real Deal Poker as an Affiliate.

The poker room is closed, and the affiliate site is down?

What happens next? anyone know anything?

I also would like to know when or if they will re-open again in 2011, I too had sent them a few good players but the affiliate site is down and there is no news. Also when I try to email them I have no response from them, has anyone else tried to contact them?

I don't know anything but my guess is they won't be back unless they are purchased as I just don't think their USP was special enough to build a network on - I think they are looking for investment though so you never know.....

If anyone does speak to them let me know as I know someone who they owe a bit of money to

Since this thread is a little more general in nature and doesn't really fall in to the promo category I will move it to general chatter and it will likely get a bit more coverage there anyway....

I can't really comment on this room directly as I have never worked with them.

I think it would have helped to make their card process via video feed in real time. Showing humans loading and unloading the machines and protecting the deck until the next hand on the same table. I think their modus was to have the machines continually shuffle and reshuffle decks and build an inventory of shuffled card sequences. Based on these card sequences they would have their online play. I think if they added a human element of control and security is could have been launched with a stronger Unique Selling Proposition.

Thank said, I really like the idea and think is could go far with some minor changes.

Awesome concept, and I do think there is a need from something like this in the poker industry.

I agree that it was a great idea and concept, I personally played there and found the gameplay to be very good just the lack of players. I had even spoken to Gene personally and he told me that he gave his "marketing team" $1.500,000 to promote the site and in my opinion they spent that on themselves, the only thing they had to show for it was real deal forum which was a joke at best with the owners swearing at the members.

I think if they do come back that we can all work together in promoting them and encourage the players to play there as I said before the gameplay is much better than RNG.

The interesting thing about poker is the real deal that all other online poker sites like the random card generator instead uses real cards, it really only the cultural icon that is played against players, were not unique . But most of the audience did as well.
