    Default Registering .CA domains

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has experience registering a .CA domain while not having anything to do with Canada themselves.
I've read https://www.cira.ca/en/resources/doc...ant-agreement/ and as I understand it, there is no guarantee that you will ever be checked and even if you would, worst case scenario is that you will just lose the domain.

Seems like a decent risk to take if you are risking ~10$ / year for a decent domain that you are going to 301 redirect to a different one. Or am I missing something?

Yeah I never got to the bottom of that. I'm able to get hold of a canadian address for our business pretty cheap, but it sounded like an address alone wasn't enough (like it is in some countries) so I never risked it.
