I hope it works out on a federal level. I think it will be many years until we see US based online casino companies though.

It would be beneficial on a federal level but it seems for the short- to long-term it's going to be state-by-state...

Don't see a Federal Law in the foreseeable future.
Federal Government is too divided and at each others throats to pass something as controversial as online Poker legislation.
On a State level, more and more states are seeing the financial benefit of licensing online gambling and are moving to legalize.
All the Feds should do(per the Constitution) is facilitate and regulate transactions between the states that do legalize online gambling.
But we all know the US Government does not follow the Constitution any longer.
