The Return of APCW Perspectives

Hello my friends!

Just wanted to pop up here in the forums and thank you all for the support you guys have shown me and the APCW over the past several weeks as I once again battled my stupid health issues. We released a new video a few days ago to mark my return to work, and my dedication getting back on top of the issues that matter most to all of you.

Affiliates are the backbone of the APCW, and I have decided to re-dedicate myself to focusing all of my efforts to what matters most to webmasters. It is my desire to bring the videos up to date in terms of what we report, how we deliver it and the way we get that information to you. But how can I do that without your participation?

So this is my promise: To be more active in these forums, to listen to what is most important to my friends, and report on those issues with as much helpful information as I can provide.

This is my request: That as the APCW seeks a more interactive dialogue with webmasters none of you hesitate to participate in the conversation. If it matters to you it matters to me, because the success of affiliates is the strength of the APCW.

So chime in about what you want to see reported... starting here!
This industry is dynamic and fluid, and so we should be as well!

If you want to take on a "case" I would love you to take up the Aff Europe issue.

My gripe about these guys is that someone like myself and I am sure many other affiliates promoted these guys for 10 years. Granted they did make a final payment to us which is one positive, however its all well and good closing down an Affiliate program but surely the casinos themselves - namely City Club, City Tower and Crown Europe should have an obligation to transfer our players to another Affiliate Program so that we can continue earning the commission on the players we delivered to them and were supposed to keep for life!

Fact is that these casinos continue to earn revenue from our players, so surely they should be compensating us?. It seems like they have managed to silently slip away after pulling the dirty on us. Yes, It was the Affiliate Program that closed down but my point is that the Affiliate Program was acting on behalf of the casinos so how can the casinos wash their hands of it , walk away but still pocket money which is rightfully the Affiliates?

By the same token - How can Playtech also just sit back and turn a blind eye to this? How do we know the casinos aren't in cahoots with AffEurope and devised this plan in order to keep 100% of the revenue instead of having to pay the Affiliates...and no doubt turn up again under the guise of another Affiliate Program some months down the line.

If we allow the casinos to get away with this what is to stop all other casinos doing the same thing if they know they will get away with it.

I'm sorry that I don't have any suggestions for content - but as you visit the GPWA forum more often - a quick stroll through the "new posts" on a daily basis should give you plenty of ideas as to what is being discussed.

I think that the legality updated is very useful for affiliates, not only in the US also worldwide.
Lots of changes are happening all the time and as time flies its become harder and harder to track it.

Topboss I have read over your very legitimate concerns and am speaking to my GPWA comrades to see how best to proceed. I have been out of the game for a while with my health issues, focusing on personal projects and family stuff, so I need to make certain I understand everything completely. Just want you to know I read your post and am not ignoring you, sir.

Hi ya, Gooner... thanks for the suggestion. I actually did try this for last weeks show and plan to do it every time I film now!

OCR I appreciate the suggestion. I want to incorporate ongoing semi-regular segments in the new show, and legal aspects are certainly a top priority for webmasters!

With the help of the GPWA I am so happy to help the APCW double down on our efforts to represent affiliate interests in this industry. With this is mind, please do keep the feedback and ideas flowing. It's all about webmasters for me, cuz without you guys there is no APCW.

UPDATE: I have been in discussion about the AffEurope issue with my GPWA and APCW co-workers. Hope to have some direction on this by next week's show.

Hey there and thank you for that very flattering article! It's always amazing when webmasters take the time and effort to suoport what we're doing... and we have a long history of working together with Online Casino Reports

As mentioned pereviously, there are some changes being discussed and planned for the video in the next several weeks. Some have begun to take shape already as we move the show's content toward more affiliate focused topics and streamline delivery.
