Default Bodog offices in the Philippines raided

Hard to know the exact details, but something's up with the Bodog offices in the Philippines. Apparently the offices were raided and several employees were arrested.

The raid occurred at 4pm local time with a crew of about 12 unarmed, plain clothed police officers. Reports from people inside during the raid said that only four of the investigators had government issued identification. One person inside who was able to read the warrant said that the company was being accused of being involved in the local numbers game, known locally as the Jueteng.
    Here's the full report from CalvinAyre.com: http://calvinayre.com/2013/11/22/bus...-more-charges/

And you can read the indictments here: http://calvinayre.com/wp-content/upl...sia-3-copy.pdf

Would be interesting to read how this could be politically motivated if bodog already has the local gaming license.

Looks like they stepped on some high ranking toes. Still the wild west out there so anything can happen even if they have a "license"

What kind of style is it to make these charges public? I mean the copy of the charges in PDF format. They really think they are allowed to do anything.

Yep CalvinAyre.com's Dan Taylor has just published an article with more details on who was responsible for the raid...

Very fair question, not that I know of, but I'll update the thread if something pops up!

Not sure how an article like that helps Calvin Ayre. Nobody comes out of the mud-slinging well. It highlights the farcical nature of these goings on - describing former associates as criminals (then why were you in business with them?) and suggesting bodog source code has been compromised etc etc. This episode would be best swept under the carpet by Ayre as that article is hardly good for business. Something of the McAfee about it.
