Default What are your thoughts on UK bingo market?

    Hi everyone,

First of all, I would like to introduce myself as I have recently replaced Al and now taken over his role at St Minver Affiliates.

I was wondering what are your thoughts on the UK bingo market. Have you ever tried promoting it or do you think casino and bingo are two completely different markets and there's no chance for cross-over?

    Cheers,
    Sylwia

They are two completely different animals.

Bingo is it's very own market, and as soon as everyone understands that then they'll all do a lot better. Look at the pictures onthe players' galleris on sites and THEN think about how to market to them.

But of course I'm not encouraging ANYONE to join the bingo market... no stay well away, there's no money in it... no, none at all....

Just to add to my previous post, I think we shall start to see consolidation in the UK market, through bigger sites buying up smaller sites, the law of the jungle of the big getting big and the small getting smaller, and the marketing pound driving the size of sites rather than each sites' quality per se.

I also predict that bingo networks will change tack from the 'land grab' of launching as many sites as possible ("big is best"), to trimming networks down to main players only ("80:20 rule in action"). Another version of the big getting bigger and the small getting smaller. This is a completely logical and overdue move IMHO.

i think UK bingo improved online thanks to the smoking ban but then went down due to the economic crisis...
